Unsound Transit

Sound Transit breaks yet another promise:

Sound Transit says it won't be able to run more Sounder commuter-rail trains between Tacoma and Seattle until 2007
...
Sound Transit runs three trains from Tacoma to Seattle each weekday morning and three return trips in the afternoon. The regional transit plan voters approved in 1996 calls for nine daily trips in each direction.
Fortunately, you might be able to do something about this debacle:
Sound Transit is recruiting volunteers for vacancies on an independent citizen-oversight panel that monitors Sound Transit's performance, including its budget and financial management.
Panel members are appointed by the Sound Transit board. Will they appoint only yes-men, or will they appoint citizens who actually represent the majority of area residents who feel that Sound Transit is a dreadful waste of money and should be shut down? There's only one way to find out.
