I attended a public appearance/Q&A session with Seattle Congressman Baghdad Jim McDermott yesterday evening. My write-up is here. McDermott seems to have a rich inner fantasy life which he enjoys sharing in public. Do any local journalists bother to follow him around and challenge anything he says? Does the local media accept McDermott's pronouncements? Or is challenging him too much like shooting tuna in barrel and not sporting enough?
