In light of the gubernatorial recont, today's Seattle Times has an article about a 1990 legislative race that flipped in a recount by five votes, and then flipped again in another recount by two votes. Ann Goos, who won the second, but not the first or the third count:
"He wins by two, and here I was, sobbing and eating chocolate," said Goos, who was a legislator for an entire two weeks before losing. "The worst thing is you have to lose several times in a very public way. I'll always be known as the little loser girl."Ann Goos resurfaced here in the Year of the Dinocrats as a member of the astroturf Statewide Steering Committee of (no giggling, please) Republicans for Gregoire.
Maybe she can share some of her Hershey Kisses with Chris.
