I was going through King County's documentation that attempts to explain the "348" (actually more than 348) unverified provisionals that went through the AccuVote machines.
Here is the summary page from the Snoqualmie Elementary School polling place

The summary suggests that one of the Accuvoted provisionals was cast in the name of a person whose registration had been canceled on the grounds that he was deceased. I've whited-out the person's name out of respect to their family, and because there can be other plausible explanations -- it could be another family member with the same name who tried to vote without having been registered, or it could be that the person is still alive but their registration was cancelled in error.

But, as far as I can tell, the county identified him. Can't know for sure, but I would bet they did a lot of research before grudgingly acknowledging the voter is "deceased".

WHERE IS THE FBI?
WHERE IS THE FBI?
I hope that this one gets some traction. It sure would have the potential for some interesting National Inquirer headlines....
Then again, maybe we can petition the Vatican that a miricle has occurred and that the dead have risen from their grave, walked to the polling place and then voted for Chris G and John Kerry. Then a special plaque can be errected at the Snoqualmie Elementary School to honor the place where this miricle occurred.
Rather than th Vatican, maybe someone should suggest creating the plaque at the next King County Council meeting to honor this miricle of voting.
Posted by: Bob on April 15, 2005 08:02 AMDoes anyone know if the January 18, 2005 "replacement" Provisional Ballot Report showed an increase in ballots accepted and counted because of the crediting of voters who broke the law and stuffed their provisional ballots into the ballot box? The November report stated a total of 27,641. In mid-January the total was increased to 28,010.
(I like the sound of "broke the law" better than "didn't play by the rules" or "didn't follow instructions." This isn't a child's game on the playground. The laws are intended to protect the integrity of our elections, not simply to serve as instructions to guide you to the correct receptacle for your ballot if you want some assistance in finding your way.)
Richard Pope has earlier noted that the number of provisional ballots rejected because the signatures didn't match decreased by 108 from November to January--without explanation, naturally.
The 369 ballot increase in the total accepted from one report to the other may be partly the result of belatedly crediting the ballot box stuffing lawbreakers who could be identified.
369-108=261
261 isn't far from the 252 of (more than) 348 that Logan's gang claimed to have identified as registered voters.
