Corr takes on Drago

Former Nickels aide and now City Council candidate Casey Corr has made a course correction and is now running against incumbent Jan Drago.

It's good that Drago finally has a credible opponent. As the Monorail's #1 supporter on the City Council, she utterly failed to exercise her oversight responsibilities and she deserves to be flushed out of office in November. As a former member of the fiscally incontinent and pro-Monorail Nickels team, Corr is a bit of a Johnny-come-lately to the side of the Monorail skeptics. I'll wait to hear the rest of Corr's exit strategy for the Monorail before I get excited, but it can't possibly be worse than Drago's.

And there's reason to be optimistic that Corr would bring a fresh (i.e. sensible) perspective to the City Council. Check out the columns he wrote for the Seattle Times before he went to work for Nickels, such as this one.

I believe I just heard on the news that the Seattle City Council - led by Drago has just decided to let the homeless camp out in the first floor of the new city hall - wow - tax dollars really put to good use there -- Drago - Drago-ing for the homeless vote -- that way they can all register to vote with their address at city hall - wow way to go Drago - you really suck - hey -- set up your damn camps in skid row and under the viaduct where they belong -- if you really have to use tax supported newer structures -- use the damn stadiums -- hey Seattle and KC A$$holes - set up your homeless camps in the north lot of ringy-dingy stadium - AND THE STADIUMS THEMSELVES -- let the real taxpayers get their moneys worth -- You may even begin to love the smell of puke and urine in the morning -- and lysol and pinesol at various times all the rest of the day

Here's a thought, declare the Homeless an Endanger Species, name the Alaskan Way Viaduct as Homeless Habitat and see how quickly they repair that bit of highway.

How about that grass strip in front of Ron Sims house.

There has always been "Hobos". In the 1800's and early 1900's they lived along the river banks on the edge of town and in the railroad yards. And when it was time for them to move they hopped a train to their next community.

10. It appears Don Ron Sims King wants permanent Hobo's to use at the new City Hall building just like folks in the South used to put those Yard Jockey Statues out.

I wonder if Sims will make the Hobo's call him Sir....or at least Don Ron. Perhaps he can find some odd jobs for the Hobo's to contribute to their room & board like RUNNING THE WHOLE DAMN ELECTION DEPARTMENT!!!

I'll bet 25 Hobo's could do a better job than Logan, Huennekens and some of the other losers who blew this election.

Perhaps Sims will create a Take a Hobo to Work Day??

11. Are we allowed to currently use the term 'hobo?' Checking my Seattle PC Dictionary issued as a flashy insert with my property tax bill. What does it mean? Human Outside Borough Obstruction?
