Seattle Connection to London Bombings
Today's Seattle Times reports that "London bomb suspect lived at Seattle mosque"
[Haroon] Aswat came to the Northwest in 1999 when James Ujaama, a former Seattle activist, tried to set up a jihad training camp in rural Oregon.
"Former Seattle activist" Ujaama, recall,
pleaded guilty in 2003 for supporting the Taliban.
Incidentally, back in 2002 when James Ujaama and his brother were being investigated by the FBI for their ties to terrorists, Ron Sims spoke out in their defense:
"They've been busy for a long time -- visiting elected officials, trying to raise money for the Central Area Youth Association, being proponents of the need to improve employment conditions," said King County Executive Ron Sims. "Terrorists? I don't think so.
Apparently James Ujaama is an example of what Sims considers "good home training"

1. The more left-wing the American, the more tolerant he is of right-wing Islamic extremism.
2. Typical brain-dead liberalism at it's best.
Ron Sims is a real doozie of a citizen for recognizing the interests that count the most -- to his dim-witted outlook.
Good home training indeed.
3. What’s that?
Terrorists tied to the Islamic faith?
The hell you say!!!
4. "Giving aid and comfort to the enemy"....treason?
5. Has Sims ever apologized for not taking these guys seriously and fortrying to prop them up, so to speak?
6. "They've been busy for a long time -- visiting elected officials, trying to raise money for the Central Area Youth Association, being proponents of the need to improve employment conditions..."
Ah, yes-- and building daycare centers, hospitals and schools while they're at it. Is Sims channeling Senator Murray?
7. Once again, what do all of the terrorist attacks have in common? Despite cultural, national, racial and other differences, all these bastards are Islamic.
The religion of peace, yeah, right.
We need to go to the mosques and start hunting these guys. Pay the other folks to out their violent mullahs and the hate they preach.
The sooner we start exposing the religion of hate, Islam, for what it is, the sooner we will begin to end terror.
As for Sims, no surprise he supports terrorists. Leftism loves Terrorism. Authoritarians and Jihadists have always been comrades throughout human history.
8. FYI---A Seattle Times reporter told me last year that the Northgate mosque (copper roof, brick building---institutional quality) was built by Saudi money, coordinated by a Muslim Boeing engineer). The Saudis propogate the fundamentalist side of Islam--being part of the Wahabi sect.
Must be lots of sleeper cells in Seattle . . . nice that we're such a tolerant place, no?

This is really cool, Steve.

10. "There is no evidence that Osama Bi Laden or Saddam Hussein had anything to do with terrorist
attacks against America on 911 because George Bush and Karl Rove made it all up," said King
County Executive Ron Sims. "We're not sure anything happened at all." "Terrorist attacks? I don't think so.
Just trying to raise money for the Central Area Youth Association.
11. Sims is just another of the hate America leftist crowd. The same crowd that is calling Iraq a quagmire, and wants to hug the terrorists instead of fighting them.............
12. The U.S. was at war with Islamic fanatics in the Phillipines during the first few years of the 20th century. General Black Jack Pershing made his reputation and served his country well in those days. Read Pershing's biography. How do you suppose he dealt with these religious nuts?
A favorite attack used by the fanatical Moros
sounds very familiar today. A suicide swordsman
would hunt an unsuspecting soldier in a village
marketplace. They would then charge from behind swinging a massive sword and savagely behead the poor American serviceman. This happened many times in the early weeks of Pershing's command.
Finally, unable to understand or stop these brutal attacks, he ordered that any one caught or
killed attacking people like this would be buried in Pigskin. He enforced this order which resulted in the public burial of several assasins
wrapped in pig skin. The suicide attacks ended
very quickly and the leaders of the Moro groups
knew they had met thier match. Over many years, Pershing was very successful in his efforts.
He befriended many of the Moro leaders and was able to end the rebellion through peaceful means for the most part. We need a strong leader like Pershing today. Instead we get crooks and scoundrels like Ron Sims. He is not naive or ignorant of the facts. He is a very clever and
astute politician. He knows that the boobs in Seattle will one day elect him a U.S. Senator.

15. Interesting how it is a local paper with the story about how they are innocent minorities being persecuted by police, but CNN is the source that exposes they are actually terrorist.
16. While the state, King County, and Seattle have been treating all men as if they are members of a terrorist organization called "the patriarchy," real terrorist organizations have been living in our midst. Hell, not just living, but prospering.
17. James Ernest and Jon Thompson, both raised in Seattle, became James Ujaama, and Mustafa Ujaama. Today these crusty characters are "Muslims" apparently under investigation for supporting terrorist activities. Reasonable people might ask some thoughtful questions about James “Ujaama” Ernest, and the so-called investigation into his terrorist activities. However, any reasonable doubt about Ujaama’s credibility can be most easily put to rest by simply reading
James “Ujaama” Ernest’s statement.
James “Ujaama” Ernest is a shameless lying racist petty-criminal punk with a very small brain and no balls. Very likely a terrorist supporter and therefore a terrorist, Ujaama Ernest makes the easiest expedient justifications for his behavior because he is guilty. According to “Ujaama” Ernest, it's all George Bush's fault, as though Bush would give a damn about some degenerate racist punk like him. If he had shame he would stand up for his righteousness, and if he had any balls he would simply come clean about his activities. If he had any brains, he'd shut his mouth in an effort to avoid exposing his obvious shameful recklessness.
NO SURPRISE, he acknowledges contact and or approval from numerous campy wannabe luminaries including U.S. Senator Harry Reid, Erskine Bowles, former Director of U.S. Small Business Administration; former Congressman James Bilbray, (NV) Small Business Committee chair; late Seattle Public Schools Superintendent, John Stanford; former State Senator Dwight Pelz; former Seattle Mayor Norm Rice; and many others, LIBERAL DEMOCRAT COWARDS ALL.
As if that’s not enough to strain anyone’s credibility to the limit, James “Ujaama” Ernest blames the liberal media for his plight as well. And his twisted assumption that the media is an extension of the Bush Administration is the corniest flapdoodle of all of his rank silliness. He says, “My brother and I have been tragically demonised [sic] by the irresponsible journalism promoted by this current federal government administration in order to carry out its war against innocent people of colour [sic] and end their rights to freedom of speech.” Nice try there you poor demonised coloured dude. No sale.
If there was anything good to say about this clown, I’d leave it for a liberal Democrat to say; they like racists. Otherwise, Ron Sims is once again proving how much he has in common with the hate filled dim-witted depravity of the likes of James (Ujaama) Ernest.
Jeff B puts it right (in more ways than one): "As for Sims, no surprise he supports terrorists. Leftism loves Terrorism."
18. "
These two gentlemen are community activists, not terrorists," declared Ron Sims, the King County executive"
Right Ron, gentlemen who actively attempt to destroy our communities. In my book, terrorists are not gentlemen.
19. Goodbye, Ron Sims---
You just chose sides in the terrorism battle by defending THEM, not us. Clueless pathetic bureaucrat. No thanks--I don't need you to defend King County or Seattle. An angry chihuahua dog can do better. What a joke! Any of you KC voters listening YET?!!! Wake up p.c. Seattle. This is not a test--do you get it yet? Terror is not blue, red nor rainbow. It hits us all equally. Dump or get off the pot.
20. I hope that Mr. Iron's campaign staff is paying attention, lots of good stuff coming out. Is there a debate for this position? Should be a good one.
21. You all seem to think that this last revelation re a Seattle area politition mollie-coddling (or more accurately - a$$ ki$$ing) terrorists will be a detriment to said politition's career -- wake up and smell the doo-doo >>> The same sort of actions have not made the slightest dent in Osamma Mama's or McDimwit's postions -- both have handily won re-elections -- and remember that the tennie-runner babe won in a STATEWIDE election -- there is one 'ell of a long way to go guys and girls >>>
Oh by the way - I just saw on the MSN home page that Seattle has come out on top of the highest overall cost of living cities in the US -- wow!! aren't we so lucky?? -- esp when ya realize that all or almost all of the others have had widespread mass transit in place for 30 to 100+ years
22. Here's the plan: Call the Northgate mosque dwellers "Christian Muslim fundamentalists" and you'll have Gov Fraudouir sending the Washington guard after them that'll look like Waco.
Don't they have a 50 cal. in that there mosque?
23. PC >> -- you are forgetting the child abuse angle -- you know -- getting teenagers to be suicide bomBers -- then ya gots to find a federal level Janet Sterno and a dickhead democRAT president like BJ Clinton - we're not there yet
24. I'm afraid that it all boils down to doing something particularly nasty to the Islamic world to get THEM to stop the Islamo-crazies in their midst.
I'll leave it to the reader's imagination as to exactly what weapon we should use.

26. Here's a question for Sims:
If you build a terrorist training camp in rural King County, does the firing range out back count as part of the 65% of the land that isn't developed?
27. No wonder the Democrats don't do anything to stop these guys. Read his statement----look at all the democrat political ties he has to some pretty big Dem names from Clinton administration, etc.
28. NWSource.com has a best of poll online. Please go there and vote for Sound Politics in the blog category.

Goldstein, over at HA is urging the faithful liberals to cheat and vote multiple times - just like in the Governor's race.
29. shark:
while you linked to the entire article, you did not specifically mention the quote by the reverend robert jeffrey, which is:
"The Rev. Robert Jeffrey of New Hope Baptist Church said Mustafa Ujaama, a mechanic and car salesman, attended his church before converting to Islam and has long worked to eradicate drugs and street violence.
Jeffrey said he could not vouch as easily for James Ujaama, who has traveled often. Still, he called him "a very principled person."
i point this out so that your commentators may have the opportunity to impugn the church as much as they do the "liberals."
30. i point this out so that your commentators may have the opportunity to impugn the church as much as they do the "liberals."
And what is your point? (or should I say agenda?)
31. dinesh,
No one needs to impugn Ujamma Ernest beyond what HE HIMSELF SAYS about HIMSELF and how HE HIMSELF JUSTIFIES his own situation. If the New Hope Baptist Church and/or Robert Jaffrey supports terrorists they deserve to be "impugned."
I'll take James Ujaama Ernest's own words about himself over those of Robert Jaffrey or your opinion. If you buy into any part of what Ujaama says, it says more about you than anything else.
32. New angle on the Pershing story... I heard he rounded up 50, killed 49 etc... It would be nice if true, but it sounds too easy.

33. hmmmmm, Patty Murray n day care. Ron and youte centers. DOHHH
34. Hey PBJ,
I think we should vote for the places we are embarrased to be seen and write in HA
35. What a horibble waste of good pigskin
36. In reading this article, it's clear that it is a story about how the
community (something that you conservative twits like to preach about -- remember
"it takes a villiage"?) was rising to the defense of two of its own. At the point that this article was written, nobody had even filed
charges against Ujaama. It was far from clear that he was guilty of anything.
Should Simms have given the quote? In retrospect, no. But part of me wants to admire the man for standing up in defense of two men whom he felt were being wrongly accused, based on his personal knowledge of those men. Few politicians will do that (in part, because they know that reactionary twits like Snarkansky will be all over them if they turn out to be wrong). That Simms support was misguided, in hindsight, is irrelevant.
In other words: Grow up, people. How many of you have never been wrong?
37. This morning's paper said the guy was LIVING at the Seattle Mosque. So it's not a House of Worship, it's really a flophouse.
38. Hey Bill,
I've got that covered. Call it the "Branch Davidian" Mosque and say the Mullah thinks he's devine in nature. Now what could be his name????Hmmm
39. moderate, thanks for being moderate--its a breath of fresh air.
40. Moderate Said:

Do you think he said it because Ujaama is black? You can't imagine Sims kissing some ass to get votes now can you? I give Sims credit for nothing. He's a pompous, arrogant, self serving blowhard and any support he gave was done with a motive. He would lick bin Ladens kneecaps if he thought it would get him votes.
41. ~A Moderate
So, Sims "personal knowledge" was faulty, his support was "misguided" and in and "in hindsight", he is "irrelevant". Still he garners your admiration? You forgot to add, it was an innocent mistake and no one was hurt..Well, not directly, this time.(cough)
Thats a person I want to vote for! A misguided man who is a bad judge of character.
PEACHY!
...and yes I have been wrong. In the past I voted Democrat.
42. Yes "A Liberal" pretending to dance between the raindrops, we remember ""it takes a villiage"
(villiage?!) - ghost written for a moron, it represents the same sort of tripe that the left appears to favor these days - an endless self indulgence of style over substance.
Normally I would liken something like this idiotic book to cotton candy (all flavor, no substance) but in this particular case it's more like a sh!t sandwich - something guaranteed to disgust anyone but the insane…
So….what's your point? That people make mistakes? We know that - we put up with you all the time.
That a group of village idiots pull together? So do vipers. So what….
As usual, you're more obsessed at being contrary than being lucid...
43. They aren't Al-Qaeda terrorists at all! No no. It's all in how you frame the issue you see. Here, we call them Mac-Qaeda.
44. A Moderate,
"it takes a villiage?"
“part of me wants to admire the man for standing up in defense of two men whom he felt were being wrongly accused”
Who the hell needs to grow up?
45. Dinesh,
It would seem that you have your snoot up A Moderate's patoot.
46. Doesn't say much for Ron does it!!
47. “part of me wants to admire the man for standing up in defense of two men whom he felt were being wrongly accused”
Just as long as he refrains from sharing which part he wants to do the admiring....
48. I can see the Irons ads now. "Sims looked the other way on Terrorism."
This will be the undoing of Ron Sims. Good riddance. And once he's out, we can get rid of Logan too.
49. For a great political cartoon on how liberals view terrorism, go here. And visit often, they are always dead on:

50. The chickens WILL come home to Seattle to roost. Bin Laden was right about the soft underbelly.
How many Americans will have to die on our own soil before we have to understand that THEY WANT TO KILL US AT ALL COSTS????
When you look at the London bombings- these were kindergarten pranks compared to what they could pull here. There is no security whatsoever.
51. Jeff B. >> As I stated earlier -- it doesn't matter -- re Sims and terrorism -- their stances and STATEMENTS - and other transgressions have not hurt Osamma mama or McDimwit one wee widdle bit -- they have just recently won re-elections -- if the reps can't come up with someone that can bowl over the pathetic likes of Day Care Patty -- they haven't even come to the game
Andy >> the chickens are already here - practically impossible to walk around here without getting your shoes all fowled up - some places it is several feet deep
52. I see Dinesh and Moderate are back, steering us to apologize for the earth's cumulative historical unfairness.
Hey--wake up. Get your 'circle of friends' to turn in the terrorists and we will clink tea or beer (your preference) glasses with you. Until then, anyone giving a terrorist an INCH of sympathy makes me stand back like a louse-infested blanket.
No apologies--just survival skills learned on the cruel earth. This is not a drill, remember? How many more Londons? Step up & help or take off. I'm done with nicey-nicey. I suggest others consider the alternatives to victory--like SUBMISSION. Not me. Not now.
53. No need to go chumming for trolls tonight...out in force, they are.
54. Yea, speaking of
chum, where is ole northern carp tonight?
Guess this thread isn't "up to his usual standards"
55. Noticed something on the local tv news -- all three stations ran extensive stories about the special fast boats brought up from California since the London bombing -- California has extensive open harbors, too. Why would they bring up a (dozen) of these patrol boats to Puget Sound plus doubling the guards on ferries and at the ferry terminals unless they know something we don't....(as my fifteen year old says: "Take it easy, Pa -- Christine fought big tobacco -- she'll know what to do..."
56. The bombers sound like more friends of Jim McDermott. They probably registered and voted in Seattle.
57. Mister Sims: soft on terrorism but a hardliner on sewage!
ReVOTERguy
58. New defination for being spammed.
Send a can of Spam to you favorite mosque.
59. I like it.
A can of Spam to yo mama Ujaama.
60. I wonder if this could be wraped in pig skin!!
61. Laurie, If you're referring to biteme/JDB, I think that's going too far...
(let's deter the terrorists, not disgust them ;'}
