Mike Costello of Redmond, (whose letters to the editor you might have seen in the Times), has been doggedly reporting by e-mail on the scandal involving the King County Department of Transportation and falsified traffic reports to favor a large housing development at Redmond Ridge. Mike will now be covering the scandal on his new blog -- The Squeaky Wheel. Check it out!

Everyone always wondered about this nonsense...but didn't believe that our county could be so blatantly corrupt....
It's time for their corruption to be exposed!
as I say--some of these bureaucrats have side/home businesses--maybe their spouse's business--
watch how THEY take care of THEIR internal financial control procedures and watch every penny!! if they see a 5-cent off-balance, they will scream bloody murder for hours to the poor bank clerk;
But--with OUR money, who cares--truth is, it's THEIR money, too--that's the point they miss--they don't care and it spites their own face; fools--all...

Posted by: dl on August 5, 2005 09:59 AMI hope in addition to exposing the Redmond Ridge permitting scandal, that you might provide a home where other disgusted King County staff who have observed wrongdoing under Ron Sims might expose what they know, as well.
There dozens of tales of corruption in the big city - DOT, DDES, Elections, teh Medical Examiner's Office, Medic One, the Fire Marshall's office, Purchasing....
The list goes on and on...
Again, thanks for the new venue you have provided. Best of luck!
