Another illegal voter in Ron Sims' inner circle

Does anybody remember Cynthia Sullivan, the former chairwoman of the King County Council, who was unseated by Bob Ferguson in 2003? Rejected by the voters, Sullivan was rewarded for her years of service to the Sims machine with a sinecure in Sims' office as "Director of the Metropolitan Initiative", whatever the hell that means.

Cynthia Sullivan and her husband Jim Hebert are also illegal voters. They sold their north Seattle residence in July 2004 to Scott White, who happens to be chief-of-staff of the County Council. Nevertheless, they're still registered to vote at Scott White's house more than a year after they moved out. Okay, I'm going out on a limb reporting that Sullivan and her husband actually moved out. However, election records show that Scott White changed his address to his new house on or before August 20, 2004, the day before he got married (look up here). Sullivan and her husband are said to reside in Bellevue and are also building a dream home in the mountains, but definitely don't live in Seattle -- unless they're also in some sort of weird group marriage with Scott White and his new bride. Nevertheless, Sullivan is not only using her old address as a voting residence, she's also been using it to file incorrect campaign contribution disclosures.

The lesson is that when you're a relative or employee of Ron Sims, apparently, you can vote wherever you feel like. Maybe Cynthia Sullivan is still voting in north Seattle because she still holds a grudge against Bob Ferguson and wanted to vote for Carolyn Edmonds. At least Ferguson had the last laugh.

1. Why does this not surprise me?

It has become very clear to me, with hundreds of illegal voters still on the roles, that EVERY election we have is flawed.

The major media's refusal to do any kind of research into the cesspool called the registered voter database is stunning.

We will never have a legitimate election in this county until we start over with a clean slate and re-register EVERY voter.

4. Steve,

2004 election is my first time I involves in U.S. politics and I ran for State Rept. for the first time in my life. I remember, there was double voters, dead person voted in my back yard, as well as felons voted in 34th legislative District. Those votes was illegal and no one knows who won the election.

I agree with you that we need to re-register all voters, but it isn’t good enough to fix the Election in King County. In my opinion we must stop people from vote by mail, except the military and people that unable to vote in Election Day. The most important we must elect the director of the King County Election Division. And prosecute the election violators.

5. King County needs an elected County Auditor. Please help www.honestelectionsproject.com. We need to reregister all voters to clean up the old voting roles. See my post where I prove that Mercer Island has 140% of eligible voters registered.

6. Hey no worries for Sullivan. Like the lawsuit brought against 3 KCDOT employees who engaged in alleged wrongdoing including retaliation against several King County DOT whistleblowers, Sims has coughed up a cool million dollars already, to hire 2 private law firms to defend their alleged wrongdoing.

$1,028,634.75 to be exact as of September 21.

So why should Sullivan or Sims worry about a little illegal voting? Sims has all of "our" money he needs to defend any of his corrupt employees, including Sullivan, who he hired after her defeat at 70% of her former county council salary. Her "do nothing" job was no doubt in exchange for all her loyal contributions to the Sims machine before one county council district got their collective heads out of their asses and booted her.

9. Hey unkl,

Shouldn't you be holed up somewhere in Louisiana or Mississippi pretending to be a claims adjuster or something like that?

10. Generation Why ? has it right. They read the newspapers and the bible to see what each side is up to. Unkl Witz and his ilk exhibit their character flaws with their disdain for exposing the truth for fear it may make their side look bad...

Shark is out to expose the truth about corrupt elections. Some these accusations are seemingly petty, but when the big puzzle is put together - it is apparent that Ron Sims and his corrupt cronies of KCE like Unkl Witz and his iik show their disdain for the light of truth for different yet similar reasons.

(PS - We're not talking about Bush here - Witzl. No dog in that hunt)

12. The Metropolitan Initiative is undoubtedly a program generated by the UN Agenda 21 program. It is on the website for the Brookings Institution http://www.brook.edu/es/urban/metroexsum.htm and the language used there is typical A21. EG, Smart Growth, Sustainable Communities, and Stakeholders.

13. Well, I'd love to hear from the Sullivans, explaining just how they can justify this. Is this deliberate? Accidental? Ignorance? One would think that these people, in their circle of friends and employees, would know the law. If so, how did they get around it?
But then again, we all know how important it is to vote, and vote often, so any excuse to vote is sufficient.

(Unless, of course, you're Unkl Witz, for whom there is no excuse.)

14. Cynthia, you better have a darn good reason for voting from Seattle instead of where you live. We're waiting to hear.......

Posted by: Misty on October 1, 2005 11:31 PM
17. I wonder where Cynthia Sullivan and her husband register their cars at? If they haven't moved their car registrations to Bellevue, at least I'd consider them willing to pay the price (through the car tab taxes for SMP) for the illegal votes. I truly wonder?!?!?!

18. Another intersting find...
but what can be done? Unless the Time / PI / local news station actually runs a story about this long list of stuff, most people will just think we're conspiracy theorists and not care.

19. Unkl--
your knee-jerk response to everything is "yawn;" what the heck do you say when the meth house opens next door to YOUR place? "yawn?"

crime is crime; granted some is more urgent than other, but where does it end? ...and tolerating a 'only a FEW roaches' leads to what...?!

this election mess is like a fly dumper near your house; first, a tire or a few appliances; next, it spreads to a junk yard; any outrage or nipping it in the bud or do we wait for the junkyard and the full-blown ghetto?

20. Savun Neang:

No one knows who won your election?

How about this, from the Secretary of state's Web site:

Eileen L. Cody Democratic 42,369 75.12%
Savun Neang Republican 11,712 20.76%

Why don't you try again? Maybe we can get Eileen's percentage over 80 percent this time.

21. Dear Ivan Weiss,

Thank you for your response to my post in SoundPolitcs.com. I would like to be clear that was the Governor race, NO ONE KNOW WHO WON.

You are right! I will run again, because I am the second best of all the Republican candidates in Seattle city limit that received more than
20 % of the votes.

An immigrant from Asia, a Republican and run for office than drive the Democrats to get 80%, I on't think so. You should wait and see the out
come of this election in 34th District for David Irons.

Posted by: Savun Neang on October 2, 2005 06:44 PM
22. Savun:

David Irons has no chance of carrying the 34th District and neither do you.

Posted by: Ivan on October 2, 2005 07:57 PM
23. I guess that doesn't say a whole lot for the
intelligence of the 34h district. Supporting Ron Sims is god's way of telling you that you. A: Don't pay enough taxes. B: Are not bright enough to get yourself back and forth to work without government intervention and subsidization. C: Have absolutely no concept of right and wrong.

I understand the guy who got screwed to death by the horse was from your beloved 34th District.
Are you planning on voting his ballot???

Posted by: Mr. Cynical on October 2, 2005 09:30 PM
27. Ivan - people with your political ideology have a place in h**l reserved for them. Would you also vote for Fidel Castro ? (Probably). Enumclaw is more Republican - where the horseplay occurred and no chance in hades that Sims will win there. Now Capital Hill, and McDermott's district are a different story - especially as long as people of your ilk stay apathetic, ignorant and in denial.

30. Your slipping, Stefan. The quality of your posts keeps declining. Once again, this article lacks intellectual integrity. I guess the results of your "investigation" of King County just haven't been what you had hoped. Even assuming for the moment that your facts are correct, your conclusion is less than sophistry. You apparently believe that the King County Executive keeps personal track of the voting registration addresses of every person he has met.

Why not blame Cynthia Sullivan for her own actions and leave responsibility where it should be? Because that wouldn't have any partisan propaganda advantage.

The cynicism of your posts amazes me. You must believe that no one reads them with a critical eye.

34. Ivan Weiss, Chairman of 34th District Democrats:

You said “David Irons has no chance of carrying the 34th District and neither do you.”

You are so confident that all residents living in 34th are or voted Democrats, but just a reminder, Dino Rossi did very well in this district, and I did well, too.

I promise and all I ask fair politics, even though in April this year, someone was asking people around about me at the White Center spring clean up.

A straight answer, if someone doesn’t like my last year campaign, that’s means, what I did was right for citizens of 34th District.

38. Ivan Weiss, Chairman of 34th District Democrats:

Thanks anyway, your answer is not specific about my politics that you/your group disagree with, and it will be no answer for me by the voters in November election, because I don’t run for any position. See you around.

39. "The voters will tell you in November. See you around White Center."

Not if I see you first.

Whatta putz!

Savun asked a sincere and legitimate question and you respond with asshat responses that are even beneath your usual "style".

For all you know, Savun might have been someone amenable to moderate POV's that would have (gak!) coincided with yours - but you'll never know because you acted the typical arrogant, reflexive democrap.

Good luck to you Savun, and just remember; the best way to tell if a democrap is lying is if his mouth is moving....
