There's no business like Small Business

Washington Policy Center will be hosting two Small Business Conferences-- one at the SeaTac Hilton on Thursday, November 17th, and one in Eastern Washington on Thursday, November 10th.

Read more about it at www.SmallBusinessConference.com or call 888-WPC-9272 for more information.

Tangential thought of the day: "It's not who you know, it's who wants to know you."

1. As a small business owner, why on earth would I go to a conference that covers this (from http://www.washingtonpolicy.org/SmallBusiness.html ) :

"Issues to be covered by both Conferences include workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, transportation, liability reform, health care costs, tax reform, employee regulations, and water and energy costs. Governor Gregoire will give the keynote address at the Western Washington Conference."

Gregoire is no friend to small business and the issues covered only make my blood boil. Sounds maore like a chance for the state to lecture business owners.

2. Because you get to voice your opinion. You get to participate and not just listen.
