Patricia A Levesque, who is registered twice and is reported to have voted twice in the primary and general elections in 2004 and again in this year's primary, has already voted two absentee ballots in next week's election!
Levesque is the woman whom the Republicans alleged to be a repeat double voter but whom the Elections Office initially claimed, implausibly, to be two different people.
The Elections Office late acknowledged that she was already under investigation for double voting (heck, I reported her as a potential double voter back in April). The wheels of justice grind slowly. Both of her registraton IDs, 20277955 and 990589485, show up in the county's list of returned absentee ballots. With any luck, somebody will have them set aside for the canvassing board so they can't both be counted.

HEY NORM, THAT BE A CRIME!
Maybe NOW someone - anyone in the MSM will run the story.........
Unbelieveable, maybe we need a protest or a march somewhere!

That's right, this "Communication Specialist" made $60,584.78 in 2004, and her efforts on behalf of King County Elections earned her a 7.14% raise. This year she'll earn $64,912.08 for deflecting criticism of Logan and the continuing shinanigans down at King County Elections.
Posted by: Mike on November 1, 2005 06:10 PMWhy is their voting status not put on hold or some status that FORCES their ballots to go to the canvassing committee when they are under investigation?
If Stefan had not pointed this out, would her ballots have been opened and put into the hopper (not to say they still won't make it...)?
Posted by: SouthernRoots on November 1, 2005 06:25 PMThe Democrats M.O. is always the same...
1. Deny it
2. Launch bogus counter attack as smokescreen
3. Hire *friends* as expensive Blue Ribbon committee members to find answers
4. Blame a subordinate
5. Apologize for *human error*
6. Assure that the problem's been fixed
7. Commit fraud again with a vengeance!
And to the gals at NARAL, don't you go shouting that people are just picking on her because she's a woman. She's a vote-cheat. Period.
KCE is kind of complicit in this, because they knew she was a double-voter and still send her two ballots. This kind of incompetence has to stop right NOW! This just looks like willful fraud on the part of KCE. Or the very worst kind of incompetence. CAN WE PLEASE GET AN HONEST AND ACCURATE ELECTIONS OFFICE HERE??!!!
Posted by: Misty on November 1, 2005 08:10 PMShucks, ma'am... get up with the crowd. Be cool! Be hip!
By now everyone should have at least six or seven ballots turned in! I mean, this IS King County, right?
For shame... to vote only once is simply an admission that you lack good home training. Tsk...
