Young 3, Logan 0

King County GOP Chairman Michael Young has a good op-ed in today's Seattle Times where he raises the bar for Dean Logan to do a better job of cleaning up the voter rolls -- "It's still important to count every and any LEGAL vote"

Young and state GOP Chairman Chris Vance also sent this letter to Logan today, with praise and criticism of Logan's handling of this fall's elections.

Thirdly, an entire month has passed since Young sent Logan this public records request for various data files and reports pertaining to the 2005 general election, all of which could and should have been delivered before the election was certified. According to Young's staff, Logan has not replied, not even with the statutory five-day response to estimate when the documents would be available. One can only wonder what Logan is trying to hide.

1. These are both incredibly well-written letters. Too bad they were written much sooner....but better late than never.
Washington State Republicans have got to learn to fight their way thru the MSM biases. It solves nothing to merely complain. Clearly articulated letters and news releases are extremely important. President Bush is learning that he has to be visible, clear & articulate and out front EVERY DAY when our troops are in harms way. Stupidity, like riding horses on his ranch in Crawford Texas is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE when our troops are in harms ways. Our Commander in Chief should be our hardest worker....NO VACATIONS@!!
Our State Leaders have learned that lesson the hard way too.
Stefan---without your drive and determination, these letters never would have been written. Thank you for your leadership!

3. I think it would help this site, Chris Vance, Rep. party, and all voters in Washington to annotate the letter to Logan with hyperlinks to all the evidence documented in articles in this blog.

In one sense, it would be part of the topical index to the site.

4. YESSSSSSSSSSSS! Outstanding column by Michael Young explaining to the public what KCGOP is trying to do and why.

Excellent letter from Chris Vance asking good questions and trying to keep Dean Logan accountable.

I'm very pleased with these items and it shows that the state GOP is making some good efforts to spare legal voters the same insult they were subjected to last year (and in all likelihood this year), when our own legal votes were cancelled out in droves by thousands of illegal votes.

Loved reading this entry, Stefan. and to Vance and Young, keep it comin'----this is exactly what the public needs to keep from being cheated by sloppy elections officials.

5. Great letter!

And the news tonight is saying that Paul Berendts is retiring?

See what happens when our local GOP finally does something?

6. Paul Berendt retiring - Howard Dean gets the boot next. A good day ! Seems like there is something behind the scenes about Berendt that overwhelmingly strange.. just a gut feeling.

Repubs had better keep fighting and step it up a notch. This probably means a change in leadership for the better before anything changes. When a party has been in power too long like the Demos have in this state, corruption takes over - which eventually becomes their undoing. This is more clear today than it was 5 years ago, but it is time to overcome the MSM weasels, keep making news, speaking out for justice - which is being suppressed by the liberal leftists in power - who in a large part worship Karl Marx. Enuf said..
