Statewide Voter Database Might Not Really Exist

I started making inquiries nearly a month ago for the long awaited statewide voter database, which Secretary of State Sam Reed promised to have ready by now:

On January 1, 2006, Washington State will have a fully populated statewide voter registration database in compliance with HAVA.
The Secretary of State has also been bragging to the media that the statewide database was one of the (few) areas in which it will be compliant with federal law by the January 1 deadline. I was reassured that the database would be available on the first business day of the new year (yesterday), even though it might not be perfect and that "It may take a couple days after January 3rd to get CD ready and in the mail to you.". Fair enough, I sent in my check, they cashed it and now I'm waiting for my data. Today the SoS office informs me that they won't send it for another month:
I have new information. We will only be running the database CD's once per month and the first one will now be run February 1st and not January 3rd like I previously told you. I apologize for the misunderstanding. Let me know if you would like a refund or if you would like to wait until the Feb. 1st CD comes out.
No, I want the January 3rd version of the database. In the alternative, I want an explanation why it is legally exempt from public disclosure -- or an admission that it doesn't really exist.

9. Stefan---
I understand from one of the County Auditors in a very brief conversation that they have some serious problems with the new database....no details yet but will find out more tomorrow.
I'll also see if I can get a copy of the 1/3/06 CD from one of the Auditors.

10. Do you think they can clean it up enough to avoid immense embarrassment by February?

Maybe Sam and Nick should practice saying something like "this data base has nothing to do with the accuracy of election results," just in case.

11. Regarding your statement that " you WANT the January 3 version", Sharky and Cyniclown, let me quote Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones....

"You can't always get what you want"....

I know, the Dems in power have conspired to screw the the Wingnuts. Blah, blah, blah......

Look under the cushions of your couches, find a couple of quarters and call someone who cares....

12. To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), States all across America including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, Iowa and etc., contracted with Saber Consulting (www.saberconsulting.com) of Salem OR to prepare the centralized voter database. It should come as no surprise to anyone who follows elections that we now have an electoral disaster on our hands that could destroy our Republic thanks primarily to Democrat Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury and Senators John McCain and Russ Feingold.
All across America the deadlines are failing and demonstrating the system does not work and will not be available for the spring political campaigns.
Through the HAVA Act and one of the Nations most corrupt Secretary of States, these leaches enabled the American political system to contract with one company Saber Consulting to design a system that makes it impossible to use mailer and mapping systems to discover whether or not groups of voters are addressed from one address (i.e. Seattle); for new candidates to prepare campaign information to promote their election; and for researchers to discover whether or not illegal aliens are able to infiltrate the eligible rolls for voting.
All of Oregon is vote by mail and it is now the most fraudulent voting system on earth. The voters in Iraq have a better system than we now have in Oregon because they identify the voter and after voting the voter dips their finger in purple ink to prevent a voter from casting more than one vote. Every vote is verified.
At the root of this problem is the McCain Feingold HAVA Act passed by Congress. According to election officials in Oregon counties the system has destroyed a perfectly good functional voting system with local control.
Under this system incumbents are favored because they have the most current catalog of voter names. Non-incumbents no longer can access the database for walking list, mailing campaigns, and etc. What once cost a couple of hundred dollars for a county wide voter list could now cost campaigners thousands of dollars?
Saber Consulting was paid millions to put together this system according to press releases on their web site.
Take a look at the list of Owners and Employees of Saber Consulting http://www.saberconsulting.com/leadership-team.htm then take a look at the contribution list to Senator Feingold as the HAVA act was prepared for adoption.
Saber Consulting generates and manages other databases for example HIPPA. Saber Consulting can data mine the HIPPA database and correlate that information with the voter database. I can only imagine that Saber Consulting will be paid millions by George Soros to manipulate campaign lists and prepare product that was once available to any American through their local county elections office.
All politics are local and we do not need a private for-profit corporation providing a central database of voters in an already corrupt voting system thanks to the RINO's and Democrat losers who should all be run out of office. This work belongs in the public sector and it needs the oversight of everyday citizens and county election officials.
The American electoral system was destroyed by Secretary of State Democrat Bill Bradbury, RINO John McCain and Democrat Russ Feingold. These are the Benedict Arnolds of the 21st Century.

14. Sam put up or shut up.
We don't expect perfection but is it too damn much to even expect lawful.

15. Mr. Reed has shown himself in no shortage of ways to be either wholly incompetent or plainly uninterested in following the letter or spirit of the laws that he's charged to uphold.

I hereby would like to suggest an alternative Republican to run against Reed in the primary next in 2008.

Diane Tebelius is eminently qualified and knows how to deal with the Feds (as she once was a federal prosecutor) and has run a campaign of significance (Congressional race) and is honest, hard-working and no-nonsense. She would be a massive improvement to Mr. Reed's dismal performance in the last year or so.

18. BTW,

For more information on Oregon's beloved Secretary State, Billy Bradbury, look under "political hack" in your Webster's.

Like so many in Oregon politics, however, this guy gives real hacks a bad name.

19. Sam claims that he has traveled the state over the last six months speaking to fellow Republicans who tell him that they are happy with all that he is doing and goes even as far as to say that he believes that most Republicans admire his political courage.
Cant wait for 08 when Sam finds himself among the unemployed!
With friends like him, who needs an enemy.
