Bogus Voting Residences (VIII): Non-existent Addresses

I don't normally post two installments of Bogus Voting Residences in the same day. But today's discovery takes the cake -- Bogus Voting Residences that are so bogus they don't even exist.

Yes, boys and girls. It appears that Deanron is allowing people to register at non-existent addresses --

Back in October I discovered a provisional ballot that was counted for somebody who claimed residence on a non-existent street block (1314 19th Ave). The registration had been flagged as "fatal pend" for bogus address, but the ballot was counted and the voter enrolled on the rolls as if he were validly registered, as he remains to this day. But this demonstrated that there was a procedure to flag bogus addresses that seemed to work if not in every case, then in many cases, so at least we have that much. But only up to a point. It seems that the geographical information system will flag bogus street blocks, but it won't flag bogus addresses on an otherwise valid street block.

This became apparent to me after Reader Ron B. tipped me off to the strange case of Trina L. Washington of Seattle. Ms. Washington appears to be registered 3 separate times at 3 different, but amazingly similar addresses on Rainier Ave S. and under 3 different but amazingly similar birthdates. As it turns out, 1 of her addresses is valid, the other 2 don't seem to exist.
6116 Rainier Ave S does not show up in the county Parcel Viewer. Neither does 6761 Rainier Ave S. But a lot of valid addresses don't show up in Parcel Viewer. (For example, a 4-plex dwelling with four valid postal addresses will only appear in the parcel database under one of the addresses). The other test is to look for the address in the USPS Zip Code Lookup . If the USPS reports that "This is a non-deliverable address" AND the address doesn't appear in Parcel Viewer, there's a good chance it is a Bogus Address.

I found 3 such Bogus Voting Addresses by looking at only a few of the streets near my house. I walked past and verified that these addresses really don't exist. They are:

5327 Woodlawn Ave N

5824 McKinley Ave N (the voter lists a mailing address in Japan)

5140 Keystone Pl N

I took pictures of the latter. This large photo is a panorama that shows 5128 1/2 Keystone and 5200 Keystone are immediately next door to each other! The postal carrier who happened to be there at the same time confirmed to me that there is no such location as 5140 Keystone Pl N. It is a Bogus Voting Residence!

Please send me your reports of Bogus Voting Residences. Please include the words "Bogus Voting Residence" in the subject line.

1. OK, Stefan, have you kept track of the number of bogus voters who voted in the last two elections?

It would be interesting to keep a tally over on the right hand side of your site.

2. A whim of voting is all that those on the left feel is needed to cast a ballot. Nevermind the pesky process of registration, maintaining a legal residence, or keeping one's current name updated, if one wants to vote, he or she should just go down to a precinct day of election, and demand to vote. I bet Logan even counted some ballots that were postmarked after the election.

The only real requirement for getting your vote counted appears to be placing a mark near an oval on a ballot and getting it to Logan before the certification date of the election.

Rules! Who needs any stinkin rules, those are only for Conservatives.

3. Trina Washington - 6716 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118 [phonebook listing]. Maybe she's dyslexic.

4. Bogus election officials approve bogus residences, bogus ballots and bogus democracy.

Good enough for King County.

5. Hmmmm, one of the things I didn't notice when I pulled her name up in the database: the top registration was exactly one month before her 18th birthday, at least according to the information in the database. Is that why that registration is considered inactive?

6. Accuracy any bank would be proud of!

7. Ok, this proves that an address is not valid. But if I recall the process, that's only HALF of the process. You then have to prove what the REAL address is for the same voter (that may or may not actually exist). Question to DeanRon - How do you provide a valid voter address for an address that doesn't actually exist?

8. interesting how none of the bogus voting addresses used were ever tied to those of politicians' addresses---by design or by accident-

the politicians would have these perps (using politicians' addresses) in jail faster than you can say "Kelo case land-grab ordinance;"

10. I echo MIMike's question: How many of these bogus registrations were used in the last election?

How would the USPS handle deliveries to these addresses? Would they be delivered to the closest matching address? Would they be returned to sender...Address unknown?

11. Careful, Stefan. In determining "conclusively" that these addresses don't exist, remember that many of these voters, like mailbox voters, may be very small... er, size-challenged, and the houses you are looking for may be easy to miss.

12. possible typo. Database and link has Mckinley pl n, and text for link has Mckinley AVE n. DB is likely correct.

13. readers posted an interesting question. How are mail ballots delivered to folk with improper addresses? If the ballot is mailed and received by the voter, then the address exist. If the voter voted, then the voter exist. Isn't that reality according to Democrats. Who really cares if the address is not a residence (abode). Apparently Dearon doesn't care. Why go through the inconvenience and expense to check for bogus addresses? Look how close the last governor's race was. Just a few hundred vote difference. Why Dearon will make that up and more in the next race. Won't even be close. Add 10 or 20 thousand more voters to the rolls. Think of all the money it will save the taxpayers. No inconveniences, no recount costs, no court costs and no traumatized voters. Nobody cares. That is to say nobody in power cares. Why that is what keeps them in power.

14. Stephan --

Troy's entry is just a typo. Digits were transposed.

Here's the Switchboard.com listing. Answering machine message indicates he does indeed live there.
