Ron Sims Radio

Ron Sims will be the featured guest for an infomercial on KIRO 710 from 7 - 8pm. Sims will try to explain why vote by mail should be mandatory and why we can trust him to count our mail ballots. If you have any issues with the way Sims has been managing the elections office, call in and ask him a question. 877-710-KIRO.

UPDATE: The "no forced vote by mail" argument was strengthened by the (entirely coincidental, I'm sure) pre-recorded public service announcement from Attorney General Rob McKenna warning consumers to protect themselves from "mail theft". ("It's not safe to leave your mail in an unsecured mail box"). Gee. Maybe someone could steal your ballot.

The moderator (who claims to have a blog, oddly enough) took my phone call. Sims was courteous if somewhat less than enthusiastic at taking my call [audio clip].

[I'll post the entire exchange if I can get it]

1. Last week while I was driving, I noticed the van in front of me had a round bumper sticker that had the name Ron Sims with a red circle around it and a line through it. I didn't know those were available.

2. Typical Bullshi$ from Sims.....Goldy takes one caller, and that caller talks about a Levee being built on the Tolt.....Sims says he doesnt know anything about it, but uses his entire time Spewing BS about Global Warming...... Sims knows he cant take the heat. First two callers (Dems) dont agree with his VBM idea........ He doesn't want to listen/respond to anymore.....Typical.

3. Go Stefan GO !!!!!

4. Sounds like Goldstein had a lame lineup. Drudge is much more pertinent and relevant. like N.Korea's pending nuclear test. Time to mobilize forces and take out all vote-by-mail whenever that thing rears its ugly face again at County Council.

5. Misty,

Those stickers were produced by the King County Republican Party. They may still have some. You can e-mail info@kcgop.org or call (425) 990-0404 to find out.

6. Can you believe this idiot Goldstein? He has on Burner after Sims and doesn't let her take questions. He goes straight to Connelly on a pay phone from Illegal voter central on the Island. What a joke. Goldy "Joel are you still there on the phone? Good that means the people here at KIRO won't fire me" Could that indicate that if Goldy doesn't deliver the Sanders,Sims,Connelly of the world he is too weak to carry the show on his own. He's a light weight, and he knows it.

7. Misty those stickers were produced by CAPR
Citizens alliance for Property rights. www.proprights.org. The republicans may have produced some as well, I have not seen them form there.
I have one on my truck and it will stay there till Ron is gone.

Check out the CAPR web site, they are doing so much work for our rights, and could always use support or at least the interest of people who care about our constitutional rights!

8. It's gone right to rock bottom. Now he has 2 of his blogger drinking buddies as guests and his mother on the phone...YIKES!!!!

9. Stefan sort of has to call in to Goldy's show or any local radio show for election related topics. It's his thing. The rest of you, why give him any more listeners? And why waste your time? You can always read the transcript later.

10. Haha! "why we can trust him" reminds me of a great book my dad has called, "You Can Trust the Communists." Terrific.

11. ..and even if your mail ballot gets to KCE, they still might not count it.

Oh wait, that actually DID happen to 90 people or so in '04.

12. Ah, my favorite blog topic. Bloggers throwing down and talking trash about other bloggers.
For the politically inclined, it's kind of like WWF wrestling but with less body fluids.
So who'll be the first one to throw a chair into the ring or pull a foreign object from their trunks?
Oh, and as a note. Listened to the JC power hour on Goldie. Sounded like a Sunday night radio talk show.

13. Michele, you always crack me up, Your Satirical grip towards these folks should win you an Oscar!

Now just for a moment Imagine:

When the Libs in power...
get their most sought after jewel...

A "Locke" step Lib KC Council "YES" vote (to stick it to the minority in this council)....

With "ZERO" leadership left in the King County Elections department, I might add...

The most expensive "EVER" and least secure "EVER" Vote By Mail system, I might add ...

It's pure political spite I might add...

It's Classic Ron Sims, I might add...

It needs to end, I might add...

14. Oh and I might add, I listened to Drudge this evening, and Goldie, you are no Drudge!

Posted by: GS on June 19, 2006 12:53 AM
15. Didn't catch the show Stefan sorry. But from the audioclip I have to say I am glad. That screetchy Clownstein voice is like fingers on a chalk board. Now I shouldn't make fun of him for that, he cannot help it.

But still I have to wonder how many acts of fellatio and on whom he had to perform to get that gig.

Are those people at KIRO deaf?

16. Now that Goldy has used all his 'political captital', who will be on next week?

Posted by: timman on June 19, 2006 06:45 AM
17. Um, I'm not sure why y'all are listening to this show. Even if I didn't have anything better to do on a Sunday evening, I certainly wouldn't spend it listening to the likes of Goldstein, Ron Sims and Darcy Burner. And now you're playing into their hands by going on about it on a blog posting.

Ignore it.

18. Jimg....

Do you live in a tunnel? I listen so I could solidify "for myself" that Ron Simms, Darcy Burner, and Larry Phillips, dont give a rat's ass about YOU or ME.

I don't depend on others to Think for Me. It is your choice, but you shouldn't ridicule others.

Although it was typical BS, it was enlightening to say the least....

BTW .... Did you know that the County Council is planning on VOTING on the VBM TODAY??? Did you send in your Email to the council advocating they WAIT to vote? I did..... By the tone of Phillips, he doesn't intend on changing his vote...

19. Sims + 'trust me' = your kid with water hose + 'now, don't squirt me'

Well, no, I don't live in a tunnel and I'm not sure how I was ridiculing others when questioning why people get wrapped around the wheel over a liberal, Sunday evening radio show. My point is, I know dogsh*t stinks. I don't need to step in it - or in this case, listen to it - to find out.

21. Jimg....

I am glad you don't step in Dogsh$t, I try to avoid it also.

Your post came across as "your a dumbsh$t if you listen to Goldy".... "You feed the trolls if you listen to Goldy".....

My take is this: If we ignore the "enemy" how will we know what force to use on them.... They wont go away just because we ignore them, that has already been proven.

My advise especially on the VBM issue is to throw down the weapons, and TRY to work out this issue. Restoring the Public Trust issue will only help ALL VOTERS.

I find the constant Blog Bickering rather boring, it takes away from good discussion. Stefan and Goldy both have their reasons, but that doesn't mean we have to add fuel to the fire.

Stefan has worked very hard, and tirelessly to examine all the problems in the elections dept. He has been met with every road block possible but he still trudges on..... Kudo's Stefan

22. I only caught the last 15 min or so...but boy oh boy 'Bev from Burien' caught goldstein with his pants over his head!

Posted by: Cheryl on June 19, 2006 12:18 PM
23. Cheryl, I wasn't listening. What did Bev from Burien say??

Posted by: Michele on June 19, 2006 12:50 PM
24. She took the dems to the woodshed for promoting abortion and by so ignoring their own constituency that finds abortion deplorable. She went on about the dems pandering to the extremes and that's the single reason they are losing their former natural constituency.

The 3 bloggers were speechless and goldsteins only response was that he promised to 'call her'.

She was awesome!

Posted by: Cheryl on June 19, 2006 01:09 PM
25. Cherly....

You hit it !!! She had all of them Speechless, and wouldn't let them even take a breath before she shot back....

I had forgotten about her!!! I think she even took Goldstiens' mother to task too.... It was one of those priceless moments, when Goldy doesn't have a thing to say but "I will call you, we need to talk about this".

It could have only been made better if it had been video recorded.

Posted by: Chris on June 19, 2006 01:43 PM
26. Speechless, huh? Maybe they all had something in their mouths.

Posted by: Organization Man on June 19, 2006 06:42 PM
27. Organization Man...

I believe they had an appendage in their mouth, specifically a foot or two....
