The Three Blogateers

I participated in a brown bag lunch panel on "Blogging and the Media" for staff of the Washington State Legislature this afternoon. Also on the panel were David Postman of the Seattle Times and Adam Wilson, who writes the State Government Blog for The Olympian .

The discussion was off-the-record so I won't embarrass my fellow panelists by repeating any of their insightful remarks or the genuinely nice things we all said about each other's blogs.

1. I found your discussions to be very insightful. I knew nothing of bloggers or why they were so popular, just wanted to say thanks for coming and sharing some time with us. It was nice to see 3 different representations, you don't see that much up here, like you guys said in the lunch, we are very polarized. Thanks again and I hope for your continued success.

5. Adam Wilson also writes a lot of stories for the Olympian. I personally would like to say thanks for the blogs, I enjoy them and I think they are keeping the MSM on their toes........

6. I thank you, too. I am a recent watcher of politics, and think that local/state politics is important. Blogs seem to be much more reliable than MSM. Maybe we'll see that change... because of YOU !
