Terrorism here and there

Not yet in the English language media, but the German press reports that bombs have been found in the train stations of two different cities, Dortmund and Koblenz. Authorities are conducting a terrorism investigation.

I'll be interested to see how the Seattle press reports on this. Will the word "terrorism" be used, or will the whole thing be blamed on emotionally troubled loners.

<sarcasm>Meanwhile, I hear that Mel Gibson is being considered for a spot on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer editorial board.</sarcasm>

1. I only read the first five or so comments after the article. It is all the Jews fault.

This morning, I heard it was Bush's fault that Hezbollah struck first. Yes, it was a terrorist sympathizer from South Carolina; oops, yes, he is a Democrat.

2. Andrew Sullivan has been riding the Gibson/Anti-semitism ordeal like a circus pony. Some interesting points about looking at "The Passion" as a anti-jewish propaganda piece in retrospect.

3. terrorism? it's never anyone's fault; just a shyt-load of "coincidences" around the world involving the same ethnic strain coupled with p.c. denial; when will some liberal nutball tie all this in somehow to the 'evil empire' of Wal-mart?! or sun spots?

patterns? profiling? these days, they are only good for ink blot tests given to "volunteer" college kids for some teacher's research paper;

I wonder if Mel Gibson was drunk on Manichevits M.D. 20/20? Probably not.

6. One thing that's even more predictable than MA voters being dumb enough to reelect Ted Kennedy is the fact that Hollywood Actors, who have everything in life, are dumb enough to constantly step in their own crap.

Mel Gibson, what a joke. That's one more director / actor that I never again have to wish I had not wasted $10 watching his movies.

7. I'm almost tempted to rent "The Passion", just to see if it smacks of anti-semetic propaganda as some are now saying. I never had a desire to see it in the theaters.

8. History 101...

On August 1st 1801, the United States ship ENTERPRISE seized the Tripolitan corsair TRIPOLI, during the Tripolitan War...and whom, 205 years ago were we fighting this war against you might ask? You guessed it...ISLAMIC TERRORISTS!

After 205 years how much longer will it take, to figure this one out!!!

9. long ago, i looked admiringly at Europe as enlightened & 'cool'; until i grew older, traveled and read more--especially what was not said between lines; sadly, Europe is in denial and past its tough, innovative prime; how many more "Madrid's" will it take? take a lesson from Europe with gun control, appeasement, mega-diversity, non-assimilaton and rampant immigration; don't see much of this in Japan; i wonder why;

10. "Meanwhile, I hear that Mel Gibson is being considered for a spot on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer editorial board."

David Frum said he heard Gibson's being considered for the job of Secretary-General of the United Nations.

11. I just hope Canada wakes up and dosen't add to our problem; their immigration situ. is horrendous; all the wrong groups are taking over--never mind the Quebec thing--that's mild; and yes--i believe they banned most citizens' guns too; how progressive;
