Tardy Truth from the Press

In a long overdue turn of events, a major Washington state newspaper, the Tacoma News Tribune, has actually condemned Maria Cantwell's recent TV ads. Of note, this comes from a paper that endorsed Cantwell nearly two weeks ago. They say now, "Cantwell continues to hammer McGavick with mean-spirited and disengenuous [sic] television ads."

Really?

I'm shocked.

Regrettably, one of the Tribune's main points, besides chiding Cantwell, is likely correct: she does have a comfortable lead, whatever the exact number might be. And short of a major misstep, or some other turn of affairs, she seems likely to hold it.

1. Time to move on from our US Senate race. Everyone else has.

So what's up with the Eastside Journal refusing to endorse Luke Esser and telling people to decide for themselves between the Senator from the 48th and Rodney Tom.

That was a horse of a different color.

2. And short of a major misstep, or some other turn of affairs...

That was actually quite funny!

3. Gee, I dunno. With Cantwell, we get a solid back-bencher who can't keep her affairs in order, and 6 more years of mediocrity... just what the dems ordered!

4. they're just now understanding that the Democrats are running mean-spirited ads???

5. I guess with rumors of sex between Maria and some political stud - the R's can't use that whisper ad about her maybe being Lesbian. Too bad.

Mc Gavick will go back to loot another INC. Yes, he has some greedy talents.

Luke Esser in one notch from being outed. He might win if he jumped out and looked like a man of courage. Closets seem to be leaking badly these days. Not much shelter anymore.

6. Hinton is right-that's my fear--6 more mediocre years and more taxes to boot. that makes the alleged "RRRRoooolll in da hay" small potatoes.

7. Sad state of affairs when such a nonentity continues as a Washington US senator and the voters are stuck with two d**b broads with little or no brains between them. When are the voters in this state going to wake up?

8. Ever notice how members of the 'party of tolerance' are the first ones in line when it comes to gay-bashing?

Luke. Gay. Suuuuure.
Shows what you know.

9. Hey folks! What's with the "6 more years of mediocrity"? Mahreea is rated 99th out of 100 . . . how's that even considered mediocre? Does that kind of rating even make back-bencher? That's more like "wait in the hallway".

Clean House: All that matters for the Democrat voters in this state is that their representatives hate businesses, corporations (double points for Wal-Mart) and "big oil". Forget jobs and energy self-sufficiency. Remember, Washington is the home of the Wobblies and has yet to shake that influence (WTO riots anybody?).

10. Cleanhouse:

Voters are very alive here...and not stupid...
but major campaigns don't always present the broad view..

To those whining activists, though, I say:

The President is campainging - are YOU?

Unless Conservative activists are willing to get off their butts and donate; walk; phone; email - shut up....

So - Mr/Ms Clean.....weak sisters....and one needs mucho more....and then voters will have a clear message.....
