2. For comparison to an identical election cycle, four years ago, in 2002, the results were all in by 11:00pm.

There is simply no reason whatsoever, unless they are having massive undisclosed technical problems, for the reporting to be taking this long, with the possible exception of the precincts in the flooded areas out near Snoqualmie, Carnation, Duvall and North Bend.

The farthest polling place away from the office is in Skykomish, a two hour drive in bad weather.

Even if every memory card was hand carried in individually, there is no reason for the results to be any later than 11:00pm.

In reality, it should take an hour to take down and close up an individual poll, up to a half hour to take the materials to the local depot, and up to an hour and a half for the farthest depots to come in. 11:00pm.

Ralph Munro has good reason to be disgusted.

4. Funny how the "hicks" in rural E. Wash counties can get work done in time (oh yeah, forgot, a farmer has to get work done, random attorneys and sofware types don't have incentives to get stuff done on time)

Look for "flood" to cause reason for Dems to insert extra "found" ballots...

5. They called it for Maria Cantwell within ten minutes of the polls closing - I saw it being proclaimed a few minutes after 8 last night.

But yet, here we are still waiting to hear about the 8th?

Unbelievable.
