Many of you may already be familiar with work of photojournalist Byron Dazey.
We've posted samples of his wonderful photoessays in the past -- including his dispatches from this spring's immigration marches, and this summer's protest against Bush's visit to Medina.
I've invited Byron to post his own blurbs to his reports when he covers something topical. He posted his first entry, from the GOP election night party, below (be sure to follow his links to his blog for more of his terrific photos).

"What matters in 2006 is what Republicans who control the house, senate, and presidency have done, not what they say they are going to do. In 2006, election night is going to be like a Super Bowl party as I watch my party return to its values of limited government, competence, strong defense, and positive citizenship through the process of massive electorial loss.
