Sound Weather

There's something about living in Seattle that causes one to abandon one's former good sense to stay in out of the rain. That, and I need the exercise.

Green Lake, this afternoon

1. So what is the problem? For the locals (as opposed to transplants) the weather is beautiful here.

2. It must be Al and John's Global warming duo...

While AL Gore and John Kerry both continue to fly around in great big massive private jets every day eating massive fuel, and creating massive amounts of polution each and every day..

While preaching to us siblings, that we should foster a real global reduction in polution....Ha Ha

They uh sort of need to uh lead by example...

uh Al and uh John.........

Ride your bike to these events or shut the F up!

3. Sideways rain is pretty - from indoors! Not so fond of the flying tree branches, however.

5. We lost power yesterday during the storm. We build a fire in the wood stove, picked up some chinese food and ate by candelight. Wasn't so bad at all...

6. My toddler grandkids and I went outside and blew bubbles in the wind. Rivers of bubbles. We chased them down the meadow, jumped for them as they whirled over the roof, and laughed as they changed direction just when we had them.... Not native, but long enough to love it.
My daughter on the coast, however, stayed inside. Her neighbor's house lost siding.
