1. It appears that Dino is doing exactly the right thing, right now---calling out Gregoire on all the areas she's failing to deliver as promised. Very succinctly, too. Way to go, Dino!

2. I am an indie voter and this is what I am looking for in a candidate:

1. Economic growth proposals, the economy of
Michigan is currently in the tank because
of mismanagement by the party in power. I look
for policies that will help businesses grow,
especially getting rid of the B&O tax.

2. I like accountability in government, Brian
Sontag is one of my favorite government
officials.

3. Conservatives are going to have to do a better
job of explaining family promotion policies
which sustain and support two-parent families.
There is a strong libertarian streak, in my
opinion, among younger demographic voters
that views these policies as judgments on
lifestyle. Cato, the recent's statement
"morality is in the eye of the beholder" is
really an issue for any values candidate
because of the moral relativist indocrination
many have received in k-12 through college.
Society needs strong families.

3. This issue can really only be tackled after
an individual is in office for the second term.
There has to be competition in education.

4. If there is going to be a run for office by
a values candidate, then something is going
to have to be done to make the elections
process run more smoothly. The perception
is the last election was tainted, I don't
know the reality, but society can't afford
that perception.

5. Although, most voters say they want campaigns
free from personal attack, they generally work
unless there is a strong grassroots effort
which has a geniune message of what the
candidate can do. Even libertarian younger
voters that recoil at what they perceive are
social issues not to their liking support
economic development as opposed to what they
perceive are handouts to business. Also, a
candidate like King County Counclmember
Ferguson ran a text book campaign.

I am an indie and my interest is getting competiton in education because that ultimately will serve the kids I am interested in helping. The current governor, like the Michigan governor is in the pockets of big labor and that alliance has worked so well for Michigan. I am willing to listen to alternatives, otherwise I will vote for Micky Mouse.

3. Good luck, WVH, the last great man that met your qualifications had a celebration yesterday.

4. Hi Swatter,

I guess you are telling me that I am voting for Micky?

5. Great post WVH.

I agree that there are no good choices out there.
Those running on the right are all immoral (They are adulterers.)
Those running on the left are all unprincipled. (They claim support of the right to free speech, while wanting to pass censorship laws of many kinds.)

6. So that's really why Dino thinks
McGavick lost. If this is true then Dino has lost touch with
What's wrong the Washington state republican party.

7. pot, meet kettle.

phil, I got that, too. But, from his standpoint, he thinks he can go in there and run the same campaign that he did last time, but win three times instead of twice. In that case, he wants to be above the fray, which maybe he should. We deserve to give him a shot.

And Luke Esser said the right things to get more people involved, so Rossi was right in that assessment.

And, it looks like Rossi is not with the MSMers either since he ridiculed the last election. Didn't all the high Rs say nothing was wrong- Reed, Meleng, etc.?

8. You gotta love his sense of humor!

"They control everything, and they can't even agree with themselves! It looks like they can't even organize a beer bash in a brewery.

How true it is.....

9. Phil for the love of God, LET IT GO ALREADY.

I've never seen someone so obsessed with an over-and-done-with event in my entire life.

10. Rossi is still lying about the election? A judge in a very conservative section of the state threw his argument out wiht prejudice...yet he still says he was "certified" twice? That's a factual, provable lie plain and simple. Politicians that lie so easily for their own perceived benefit are very scary...they never put the wants of the people first.

Case in point...he lauds Esser and McGavick...both were dismissed severely by the voters...for being completely out of touch with the needs/wants of the people. Esser especially...since something like 95% of incumbents get elected (regardless of party)..but he got thrown out on his butt for being so out of the mainstream with the people he represents (but being right in the mainstream with Mr. Sharkansky and the extreme right).

11. I probably will be voting for Micky Mouse or Donald Duck, but having sparred with secular progressives like Ivan and Bruce on this blog, when they start to attack you, it must mean that the ideas being espoused threaten their view of the world or that the individual threatens their view of the world. Secular progresive ideology, is in my opinion, at its core totalitarian, elitist, and racist. It is interesting that the dem candidates don't want to debate on FOX news because FOX is according to Jackson/Sharpton and others demeaning to Blacks, like they aren't. Goodness, I thought secular progresives believed in an open and free airing of opinions and the First Amendment. The comments at Huffington are very revealing on this freedom of the press and access issue. So many of the comments deal with just pure viceral hatred of Fox News. So, the fact that Mr. Menigio felt it necessary to make these comments means that I will at least be paying attention to what is being said by potential gubernatorial candidates of parties other than the dems. The dems are stuck with their choice.
