Nice work if you can get it

Seattle's finest are fighting crime ... by having fun in strip clubs:

One Seattle cop reported that he grabbed an exotic dancer's breasts several times as she gyrated in his lap.

Another undid his belt for the dancer grinding against him -- allowing her to slide her hand into his pants.

A third paid $100 to a stripper for four lap dances in a row as he tested whether she'd offer sex for money (she didn't).

Meanwhile, Mayor Nickels says he can't figure out how to pay for the additional police officers that he knows he needs to hire.

He could start by reassigning the officers he now has on lap dance duty to start doing more important things.

1. What an appalling use of limited resources. The nanny-state pays for this. Brilliant.

2. There is perhaps a 98% disapproval rating in the PI's Soundoff. Who ordered this? Try and report a property crime and the respondant basically (but politely) tells you to go eff yourself. Run a non-loon against Nickels and we've got ourselves a new mayor by forty points.

3. This irritates me to no end. Especially when they keep telling us they don't have enough cops. How many were on the "task force" to bust the prostitutes on Craigslist? How many vice cops are there in the SPD? Keep one vice cop and reassign all the rest and put them on the street busting people for things citizens actually care about, LIKE PROPERTY CRIMES.

Illegal touching in a strip club should be an even lower priority crime than possession of a small amount of marijuana or jay walking.

4. Just part of the greater Seattle incentive package for police.

5. In order for any business to succeed--including that of a lap dancer--it (they) must capture market share. The market for Seattle lap dancers is severely limited by:

1. A very high population of males that are gay.
2. A significant number of non-gays who are metrosexual making them almost gay.

Thus, the final few real men that are willing to spend for lap dances are cops fueled by testosterone with lap dance expense accounts.

That is a very tough business model even for a good economy.

6. If you have a law, it should be enforced.

However, Seattle chooses to ignore Federal immigration laws. Seattle chooses to not assist the Federal agencies fighting terrorism due to lack of funding to cover those activities.

Certainly, they could also choose to ignore the stripclub laws and go after something bigger that protects a larger portion of the population.

7.
How horrifying...it sounds like the male on male sexual activity that goes on every night at the bottom of the road in Volunteer Park.

Is Mayor Nikkols going to do anything about that?

Or is he picking out his tux for the conga line at the next Gamma Mu meeting?

8. Hmmm...We've known forever that Seattle (King County, too, for that matter) is governed by boobs. Why should we be shocked, then, when employees of boobs comingle with boobs?

What's next? Dressing them up as Santa in order to make certain lap experiences legit?

12. If the SPD is a little short handed or wishes to relieve a couple of their men from this rigorous duty, I'm available 24/7 and for a lot less (free!!). I'll bust 'em AND save the city money to boot!
