Campaign Songs

By way of Dori Monson, who featured the article on his show, I learned about this compilation of the song choices of the remaining presidential candidates.  Take a look at them and decide whether you like their choices, or can suggest better songs, songs that better fit particular candidates.

If you are wondering why I am putting this up now, it's because I thought that we could use something light while we are waiting for the results from Super Tuesday.

I won't say much about my own song choices, because I recognize that they would not be suitable for most candidates.  I may love Bach's 4th Brandenburg, and think that Mozart's Eine Kleine Vote Musik would be perfect background music for filling out a ballot, but I am pretty sure most voters wouldn't agree with those choices.

1. In keeping with Obamas all black roster I nominate "Shaft" as clearly that is what we will see happen to our economy.

2. Did I possibly mis-hear this or did not McCain use Mellencamp's songs until Mellencamp (definitely a Democrat) asked him 'politely' to refrain.

3. I nominate Elton Johns "The B*tch is Back" to introduce Hillary at her January 2009 inevitable swearing in thanks to the ineptitude of the Republican National Committee.

4. McCain should use 'Burning Down the House,' because he is murdering the Republican Party.

The GOP under McCain = whigs = dead.
