Four More Years of Christine

MoveRed has another video out, showing us what four more years of Christine Gregoire would look like.

And don't forget last week's Christine, Christine, Christine video from yours truly. Maybe we should have a Christine Video of the Week!

1. Amateurish. Perhaps after each little segment they had Rossi cut in and tell how he is going to solve the problem. That would have been a bit more professional.

2. Amateurish, just like Christine's reign.

I'd like to here her one more time tell us how important it is to save away some of the surplus instead of drastically increasing a budget that we can't cover down the road. Hoo-boy, that was a good one.

3. Glad to hear others suggesting Rossi tell us what he plans to do better. I'd love to hear about the agencies/departments he's going to fire!

Now that would get me excited about him.

4. Andrew, two things:

Rossi has given a bunch of specifics, and each week or so he's coming out with more.

However, let's be fair here: there are a lot of problems, and he can't come up with a solution to everything now. Let's look at his own history: when he went in to balance the budget, he didn't say specifically how he was going to do it. He said what he WOULDN'T touch, in some cases, and he said he would balance the budget. And he did it.

I like specifics as much as the next guy, but Rossi has already proven that he can go in without too many specifics and get the job done.

5. Great video! Loved the "She has to start her own chant" part.!

6. I, like Andrew, would like a few more specifics from Rossi, but I am not going around browbeating him or any of his followers for not doing so. At least I realize there are campaigns to run; I also realize the message has to stay simple (and boy do I hate that).

The Ronulans will never be a force in government.

7. swatter, what do your 'ronulans' have to do with any of this?

Ron Paul must have really affected you guys - you can't stop talking about him!

8. Rossi = Not Gregoire. That in itself is good enough without saying a single word.

9. Great Video! 4 more years? It's time for change!!!

10. HappyHeathen @ 1:

"Amateurish"? That's exactly what we've had for the last three decades from tax-and-spend, Democrat-dominated state government. Send them home for good in November!

11. All you have to do is watch what they have done!

Gregoire spent us from a 1.6 Billion dollar surplus into a 2.5 and rising Billion dollar Defecit. This even after raising every tax and fee in theis state, as well as stepping all over the 30 Tabs we 3 times demanded, the 60% taxing demand we made, and the list goes on and on.

Without solving anything except her 18% salary and pension hike and the massive salary increases to her top folks.

--------------------------------------------------

Rossi Balanced the budget in a recession, without raising taxes.

End of story,

I don't need to see what Gregoire will do, I know what she will do, and I know what Rossi will do

I'm and the 4 family members are voting for Rossi!

12. "Gregoire spent us from a 1.6 Billion dollar surplus into a 2.5 and rising Billion dollar Deficit."

could make for an interesting spin at the local level as the Dems are charging Bush with the same thing.

13. Rossi Balanced the budget! I'm sorry but that isn't good enough. Balancing the budget that put things on the back burner that needs attention now (ferry system as example) to me isn't balancing the budget. Balancing the budget by trimming fat here and applying it there where we really need it is balancing the budget. Is that what Rossi did? Hardly!

Posted by: HappyHeathen on June 3, 2008 05:33 PM
14. Heathen: shrug. Compare:

Gregoire raised taxes, increased the budget by 33 percent, and gave us a deficit.

Rossi balanced the budget without raising taxes.

Granted, Rossi didn't govern for four years, he was merely the Senate budget chair for a session. But he did his job when he was there, and Gregoire is governor now and she is not doing her job. In fact, by increasing the budget to an unsustainable level, she did precisely what she -- and every other person with a brain -- said we SHOULDN'T do.

Criticize Rossi all you like for what he DIDN'T do because he never had the opportunity, but Gregoire HAS had the opportunity and not only didn't do it, but actually made it worse.

15. Time to re-elect Dino Rossi.

Imagine the 4 years of progress this state could have made had the election been legally administered in 2004.

If Rossi isn't elected and seated in the governors mansion this time, imagine the scenario of a Jimmy Carter clone in the white house and Christine Quagmire in Olympia for the next 4 years....Never too early to start stuffing money in your mattress.

16. An effective campaign commercial - wonder how much we will actually see it on local TV stations ?

The uber-left appears to be out in full force this cycle, but perhaps there is always hope for sorely needed reform (not change) for Rossi.

17. This is what always happens when people elect marxists into public office(s). As long as the NE corner of this state remains in marxist hands, the rest of this great state will suffer. Perhaps a break-away movement might work......a confederation of counties that will ignore the dictates of the nw marxists and govern wisely.
