David, the man who runs a local liberal web site bemoans the lack of liberal advertising on his site (warning: not safe for work), as well as the complaints he gets for allowing conservative advertising.
He says he will re-evaluate the future of his site in November 2008. But I am not sure how he can lose: if the Democrats win, then he, like other people who can't make money on their own, will be fully cared for by government; that is the exact agenda David pushes, and that his candidates support. If the Republicans win, then the self-righteous anger of the left will fuel the site for many months to come.
So either way, he can feed off the misery of others for as long as he wishes.

Most likely, his name would stay on the ballot, and if he won, then electors would gather in their states and either vote for McCain as planned, or cast their vote for someone else, which COULD be Palin.
If the cast it for McCain, as I understand the Constitution, it seems to me she would be sworn in as VP, and then as he could not be sworn in as President, she would then immediately be sworn in as President.

Goldy is really a pretty sharp guy, at least as sharp as journalists like Sandeep Kaushik, Lee Somerstein, O Casey Corr, and Sam Sperry. And close to the level of people like Alex Fryer, Ed Penhale, and Robert Mak. Why shouldn't he get rewarded with a tax-funded PR gig like all those other journalists, after he's done so much for so little for so many years?
