Thick Irony from Team Obama

Point:

Barack Obama said in an interview to air Sunday evening that he'd consider keeping Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson on a transition team given the intricate challenges facing the financial system right now.

"That doesn't necessarily mean that he'd end up being the secretary Treasury, but I think it's important for us to make sure that those who are currently in charge when it comes to the financial crisis and defense and intelligence, that they are deeply involved in the transition process," Obama told CNBC's John Harwood during an interview in Charlotte, N.C., on Sunday.

Counterpoint:

Paulson works at a pace to which Washington isn't quite accustomed. All month the staff dining room at Treasury has remained open on weekends, with a buffet of tuna-fish and peanut-butter sandwiches. Paulson doesn't use e-mail and prefers to get information by phone. [emphasis added] Staffers refer to him as a "serial dialer." But he doesn't spend a lot of time making small talk. "He's a no-bulls--t kind of guy," says Barney Frank. "He gets down to business and gets things done."

How dare Team Obama consider bringing in such a tottering, old codger to manage such important duties. The cretin probably isn't even on Facebook either.

1. Refresh my memory.

Didn't OhDrama and his posse beat the hell out of this guy just a few days ago... before Paulson engineered the recovery plan?

If I was Paulson and OhDrama were on fire, I wouldn't wiz on him to put him out.

The empty-suit: change you can lose down your pantleg.

2. Obama will win, as he'll win a majority of the votes in the key 40 counties in the key five states. It's the electoral college, kids - deal with it.

Gov. Gregoire and Sound Transit Prop. 1 will win, as they have the support of the key political and administrative leaders. Again, deal with it.

4. Paulson actually works on weekends! Now that I think about it, he works during the week to. Oh oh, Congress ain't gonna like that one bit if Obama keeps him.

5. O-doom-a was just "firing for effect". He could easily find a suitable Communist to serve as his Treasury Secretary from any of the Ivy League campuses.

6. Hinton,

Remember Obama and his Obamabots and fellow Slavery Party members excoriating McCain for saying the fundamentals of the economy are still good?

Well now they are saying they'll keep Paulson on because he's good, and he knows what he's doing. And guess what he just said...

Paulson voices confidences in U.S. fundamentals. Oops. BIG OOPS.

Of course, what do you expect from the Obamassiah who doesn't even understand the basics of the stock market.

7. realist - you and your ilk will help the psychiatrist profession after Nov 4th when you leftist/marxist candidates go down in flames.

Obama, the scarecrow once again shows himself as the Manchurian candidate. He is really an immature snotnose elitist Marxist who knows no bounds on corruption. Heed this warning before you vote.

From a 5th Listener to the Victoria Taft Show

Much is made of McCain's age. Has anyone brought up the fact that Obama smokes and both of his parents died at an early age. Plus Biden has had two brain aneurysms which could have killed him. If they both died while in office; that would leave Nancy Pelosi as president. I can't think of a better reason to vote for McCain & Palin.

You're right. Dissing Obama for talking nonsense, though IS correct. And he talks a lot of it... Pretty much everything he says.
