Hey, Sam Reed
Vote.wa.gov isn't cutting it tonight. Thanks for that.

1. Typical State Government.
Let me see.
1) Develop a DYNAMIC application to display data (generate the page for every request). MAN.... I love ASPX and .NET, but come on! Setup a farm of web servers with some front end caching if you're going to try and pull it off.
2) Anyone think of load testing this web application during development? (Obviously not)
3) Any fall back plan? (NO)
Damn. Now I know why I quit working for the State IT (after 7 years of swiming against the tide of incompetence).
Wonder how much they spent on it.
2. These are the same people who will be administering our health care in the new Obamaland.
Lord help is all.
3. + the same people running our banks in bush land.
4. Prime example when static webpages are best - just updated then every minute or so.
5. We had no choice but to mail in our ballot. How do I check to see if my ballot actually got counted...and that what was counted was actually what I voted?
Do I trust them....let me see...um..NO
6. That is a stupid comment, TennisShoe. The banks are private institutions, as opposed to gov't institutions running universal health care. Get over it. Bush's term is almost over. Move On.
7. There is a link off the auditor's home page to check and see if your ballot has been received. My and my husband's name are not on the list yet.
8. This is great...the only two counties not yet counted are Thurston and Pierce...Let me see, I live in Thurston and my name is not on the received list yet and Pierce county will take some time given that they used a "ranked" system for their county elections, which is bound to tie up their ballots for awhile. And, I am wondering if all of our military ballots have been received yet...Hmmm...
It is very close right now. I'm thinking we're going to be keeping an eye on this one for a few days at least.
9. Yeah... and several idiots here voted for Reed the Clown.
10. Thank you for that friendly dialog. It's good to know Republicans are as open to debate as ever. I'm not happy with gov't running healthcare, banks, or handling our nukes. Which party is for me?
