My Future in Blogging

Short story: it's undecided.

Per this post, I'm actively sorting out my future job status. I mention that here because it includes several variables, some of which would leave me in a position to continue blogging, some that would leave me less able, and some that would mean signing off of the blogosphere altogether...at least for now.

That's where things are at. So, if you're in the reading audience and know of or are interested in hiring for a position with a heavy emphasis on top quality writing skills, policy smarts, and the ability to work with people effectively, let me know. I'm reachable at ericearling at gmail dot com.

And, as the modern world requires, I'm also on Facebook as well as LinkedIn. I'm happy to connect with potential employers and loyal readers at both sites.

With luck and the good Lord willing, I'll have an update at some point in the coming weeks.

2. Good luck in the job search, Eric. Hope you don't stop blogging, but if you do, for now, I know we will hear from you in the future.

3. Good luck!

I'm certainly not of your political persuasion, but always enjoy reading what you have to say as it is generally well reasoned and well though out. That is certainly not a common trait when it comes to partisan blogging.

Hope the job search goes well and that you are able to continue blogging.

4. I've combed thru our Company's HR needs and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any current (or potential) position that would be a fit for you. As I've been very impressed with your writing skills I did explore this. You are indeed an apparent talent and I'm sure you'll do well in whatever your next endeavor may be. God Speed, I wish you well and I too hope you can continue blogging. :)

7. My very best wishes to you Eric. Your thoughtful posts and variety of interesting topics would be missed.

Note to Mr. Mathews at #7. Let us hope class isn't also a 20th century idea.

9. Eric: I enjoy your contributions as well and hope they continue on into the new year and beyond. Godspeed in your search.

I encourage you to quite blogging and also to quite dabbling in politics altogether.~ David Mathews

Ummm David, I understand the first time is probably a typo, but the second time is a sign of something else.

10. Best wishes to you Eric. You have always written beautifully, thoughtfully, and with honesty, integrity, and passion.

Thank you for your contributions to the local body politic.

Let us all remember to honor those who deserve it, and frankly... ignore those who don't.

David -

Your replies are completely left wing and uncalled for in this thread! Eric has done a great job in this blog despite your adverse comments about conservatism.

12. Mr. Mathews, you are a mean man.
