Larsen Town Hall Venue Change

Due to huge interest at last weekend's Mt. Vernon town hall meeting with Representative Rick Larsen (WA-2), the Everett meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, has been moved to the AquaSox Stadium off Broadway, starting at 5 p.m. The Snohomish County Democrats are planning a rally at 3 p.m.. (I won't be petty and mention that the Democrats incorrectly put a space in "AquaSox" ... but I will mention that they got the Congressional District of their Congressman wrong: "come ask questions of your 1stCD Congressman".)

1. How do they get the name of their own congressional district wrong?

2. lack of editing?

it's called a mistake. you're parents know all about them, obviously.

3. it's called a mistake.

@ 2. Since you've yet to post a grammatically correct sentence in the entire time you've posted here, that's saying something.

4. facetiousness.

you should try it.

5. Ad hominem arguments.

You should refrain from them.

6. coming from you, rick... that's rich. you drop them as much as anyone else. very hypocritical of you, sir.

7. How nice of you to get all noble on us, Mike, when you came out of the gates guns blazing with the junior high zinger about mistakes.

As Rick noted, it's ironic that you made a mistake ("you're parents...") while making a wisecrack about mistakes.

9. Funny, Rick Larsen's website has NOT announced the change in venue:

10. There is an exceptional article by Newt Gingrich this morning on Humanevents.com. Representatives at town hall meetings need to be asked exactly what CERT is and what role it will play in determining coverage under the proposed reform. Make them explain.

11. Rick Larsen may be genuine when he says he has major problems with one of the health care bills or all of the proposed bills, but when push comes to shove, he always, and I repeat, ALWAYS, goes the way of least resistance.

Expect the waffle man to show itself when the final plan gets passed, and something will get passed. Saying this so that there are no misconceptions.

Kudos for him showing up and paying lip service- he is not a dumb man.

12. swatter, agreed, but what IS the path of least resistance? Remember, this is the man who voted for the "evil" House immigration reform bill in late 2005, which led to all those protests in 2006. Going along with the Dems on controversial issues is not necessarily his MO, not when his district leans another way.

13. Yeah, Rick would probably vote 'yes' when it gets right down to it. I remember during the discussion over arming pilots, he and I talked about it and he was steadfastly opposed to the idea until the day the committee chair changed his mind, and then so did Rick. Just like that. He then was no longer concerned about holes in the fuselage from stray bullets.
