Great Negative Ad

Negative ads are usually more informative than positive ads, and this one, made for an independent group supporting Susan Hutchison in the race for King County executive, is an example of that generalization.  In thirty seconds, the ad eviscerates her opponent, Dow Constantine, cutting into him with fact after fact.

Cross posted at Jim Miller on Politics.

(For those unfamiliar with politics in King County:  The race is technically nonpartisan this year, but Constantine boasts that he is a Democrat, and Hutchison admits, if pressed, that she has supported Republicans in the past.  The voters have mostly figured out which is which.

The county is terrible shape financially, mostly because of the damage done by the former county executive, Ron Sims, and the Democratic majority on the council, a majority that includes Constantine.  In spite of his failure here — some would say because of his failure here — Sims has been promoted to a job in the Obama administration.)

1. Liberals simply believe throwing public money around will solve every problem they confront.

That's worked out really well. Social Security, Medicare, which both are going bankrupt. The "Great Society" welfare state that destroyed African American families and has led to a "hip- hop" culture that turns American cities into killing fields every weekend and is responsible for thousands of African American deaths?

Do leftists not whine every year about "crumbling public schools" despite the levys we pass year after year?

What do liberals routinely do when the money they've thrown away on seminars, conferences, and consultants runs out? They cut law enforcement, fire protection, emergency services and release rapists and murderers from prison.

They routinely scare people without evident shame. It demonstrates what they really are.

It's time to give these people what they deserve. A well deserved opportunity to make a living in the world the rest of us live in.

And don't feel sorry for them. 90% of them, (including Dow Constantine), are attorneys.

Am I really overstating the case against the liberals? I don't believe so.

3. Pudge - So it is. But it's worth a second look.

(Don't know why I missed it. I do check for duplications before I put up a post, but must not have scrolled down far enough. Probably the same way Mark missed seeing my post on the Survey USA poll a week or so ago.)

4. Anyone have a copy of Dow's robo call that features his MOMMY? Now that's got to be a real gem.

7. I work with this clown and while the add may appear negative to some, is on target.
I could tell all about the way he has mis-managed the county, wasted $millions of tax payers dollars, and made horrible decisions, but then I would get fired.
I will wait for Susan once she is elected and help her cut through the hypocritical crap here.

8. "worker" you could likely tell about all the "commissions" and "task forces" Constantine and his buddies routinely appoint because they don't have the common sense to deal with the issues they were elected to deal with.

They don't care. I just heard a liberal on the Bose show talk about school classes that are "crammed like sardines" . The guy is simply lying and he doesn't care in the least. Classes have always had around 30 students. They still do. What do these people do with all of the money we give public schools? They pay consultants and give administrators huge salaries.

All these whiners know is they can come back to the taxpayers for money "for the children" year after year.

Will they play the same dishonest game with national healthcare when they finally pass it.

Not exactly a tough guess, is it?

Understand who these people are and it's easy to make sense of what they do.
