Susan Hutchison and "Admiral of the King County Ferry Fleet" Dow Constantine will be facing off in their final debate this Sunday at Emerald Downs.
Emerald Downs is located right in the heart of the flood plain and the debate is being sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce of flood plain area cities so it should be and "interesting" venue for Admiral Dow.
Posted by MarkGriswold at October 23, 2009 06:25 PM | Email ThisI'd pay good money to tell Dow... "DOW, YOU LIE! Let's create that 12th man feeling, where they’re suffocating, where they’re like, ‘Get me off the field, get me to the bench! I don’t want to be on the bench, get me to the locker room! Get my butt on the bus, on the plane, so I can get out of here! I’m not safe here!’ Time to do that to Chairman Dow... make it nice and loud!
Posted by: USS SUSAN HUTCHINSON on October 23, 2009 10:19 PMOh, Kahn says somewhat taken aback, "ADMIRAL Kirk!"
As far as I'm concerned Constantine could replicate the Michael Palin SNL skit where he is nailed to the hull.

It begins at 6p on KIRO-7 and will be streamed live at kirotv.com.

Posted by: Essex Porter on October 25, 2009 04:48 PMWhy does Constantine constantly bring up abortion?
Well of course as a sop to liberals in Seattle.
What in the world does abortion have to do with the job of King County Executive? Absolutely nothing.
Constantine is what nearly every liberal is when you scratch the surface. A snarky, mean jerk. His closing statement was truly revolting.
Posted by: Bill Cruchon on October 25, 2009 06:10 PMThat Dow traded, or attempted to trade, the safety of those in the flood plane for an overrated flood district is despicable. It's not just Seattle-centric politicians that have been ignoring the South Sound. This is an important conflict story, and voters deserve to know the truth about what really happened.
Posted by: seasaw on October 25, 2009 06:47 PMConstantine came off as a condescending and pompous ass.
Posted by: yogi on October 25, 2009 07:03 PMIt DOES have a lot to do with it. Go th Metro KC.gov and type Teen Health Clinics in the search in the upper right. Then dig around.
Hey folks, what planet are you on? We have had Teen Health Clinics for a while. There was a petition drive to get rid of them in the 90s. We had the votes from Republicans to defund, but Hague and Miller voted with the Dems, so this continued.
Read what it says, and it will turn your stomach. It says they are giving condoms to boys and birth control pills to girls and providing abortion counselling to CHILDREN as young as 12 WITHOUT the parents knowing anything about it. They pledge you can come there and they will never tell your parents they are giving you potentially dangerous drugs or sending you th psychiatrists there also with parental knowledge much less consent.
Talk about scary!!!! The government controlling our kids! Why doesn't SOMEONE have the courage to stand up and say enough is enough. Whatever the Council Funds, the Executive has to sign.
Read it and weep!

Posted by: Ruth Gibbs on October 25, 2009 10:23 PMThat will only change when people finally wake up and are appalled by what liberals have done. Liberals want single parent families. They want dependence upon government programs. They destroyed African American families with a result of horrific violence and the tragic deaths of countless young men. More African Americans than were lynched in the old south. Who are the real racists?
Liberals are anti-family for a reason. The want to push their socialist/communist agenda. Manipulating young children with birth control and abortion counseling is just part of what these horrible people do.
It's not all that hard to figure out.
