KIRO TV Poll on Exec's Race

There's a poll up at KIROTV.com. Currently the two candidates are in a dead heat, with Hutchison leading 465-460. I just hope the actual election isn't that close. The last thing we need here is another recount.

1. What a surprise with double-voting online. I'm not sure I would trust this poll. I tried, just to see if it would reject my vote, and it either allowed me to vote twice or rejected my vote and didn't display an error message indicating I already voted.

2. Ditto it did not reject mine, but we need to get Susan in there, and not Dow.
All the Demorats will side with Dow even though 75% think he is a looser.
If Dow goes so do all the appointed jobs at the county, so get out there and get voters for Susan.

3. Fortunately, the word is getting out:

Susie Hutchinson is a bible thumping, right wing wacko who doesn't have the administrative experience to run a bicycle shop, much less King County.

There won't be no recount. Constantine will win easily.

4. @ #3...charming, aren't they?

Posted by: Bill Cruchon on October 26, 2009 02:23 PM
5. Yes, #3 is certainly an interesting individual. It appears they think it is funny to sign their name as Rush Limbaugh Fan. It's not like a Limbaugh fan would ever write something like that or even likely anyone reading this site would believe #3 listens to Limbaugh's show. LOL

6. Actually Vernon, even though I am what you would regard as a "museum quality liberal," I really am a Rush Limbaugh fan and I really do listen to his show; probably more often than you.

And I did write that comment @#3.

The reason I like Rush and listen to his show is because I feel he has done more polarize the right wing and alienate them from the independent voter than virtually anyone one else in the media. And that is a good thing.

When most folks think of Rush Limbaugh, and that he might be calling the shots in the Republican Party, they turn away in droves.

I also listen very closely to see if any of his screeds make even the slightest bit of sense. It's really quite gratifying to realize they seldom do. He is usually simply projecting his own character flaws and bad manners onto his ideological opponents.

It's worked quite well for him over the years. It has made him a multi-millionaire many times over. It has also driven the current Republican Party into approval ratings lower than George W Bush's during his final year in office.

Go Rush!

7. You might also be surprised to learn that I am a Karl Rove fan as well. He and Rush have a lot in common; mostly that they are quite simply shameless in coming before us to posit positions that are wildly hypocritical in light of their prior stands on various positions. It is truly laughable and most folks can see right through it. They also find it more than a little amusing when that clueless 20% stand up and say 'YEAH, that's right, he speaks for us.' I'm sure he does.

Meanwhile, the rest of us move carefully away.

8. #6 and #7 bloviates too much. The bottom line is that if we want a change for the better, you can't vote for Constantine - he is part of the problem and will only make government larger, more bloated and a waste of financial resources.

Hutchison is the correct choice to move King County out of the sewer of corruption and back to where it was before the liberal elites controlled the county. One party rule invariably corrupts and diminishes trust, which Dow is part of.

PS I don't listen to Limbaugh.

9. John Carlson gets it right in his column outlining why Hutchison is the better candidate.

10. As a swing voter, I had the unfortunate experience of sitting across the conference table from the toupe of Dow. Even though the hair piece makes me wonder about his true intentions, his actions while chairing a regional board were unmistakeably disappointing: reading email on his phone while he was supposed to attend to the meetings, convening meetings and then leaving for most of the meeting to attend to his "higher calling", etc., etc. It made me sick and it made me feel sorry for all the people at these meetings that he "dissed".

Susan is inexperienced in county government - uh, and what about the POTUS?????

It's time for a change !!!

Irony meter = pegged.

12. So Hutchinson is a bible thumper? So what? She's not running for pope. Her religion has nothing to do with running KC. It's just flack from the irreligious left who have little ammunition against her.

She has no county government experience? Well all that "experience" that Dow has been giving us for years sure helped didn't it? Helped put us in a huge budget hole you mean. She has enough executive experience to run King County properly and that's what counts. King County isn't THAT big and complex. And the biggest bonus is that she's not beholden to the public employee unions who are collapsing budgets all over the nation.

13. So Hutchison is a "bible thumper". How many years have leftists used that term to attack those they disagree with?

Suppose she was a Muslim? Would they be attacking what they perceive as her religious beliefs? Would they call her a Koran thumper?

Of course these hypocrites wouldn't. No more than they challenge Muslims for how they treat women. Liberals are gutless cowards and really pathetic people. As I say, it's why they are on the left.

The only religion they routinely attack is Christianity because they view it as a threat to their dreams of a socialist society. They do it over and over and over. Watch them attack Christmas once again this year. What awful people.

Is it any wonder at all that Constantine constantly has played the abortion card?

Posted by: Bill Cruchon on October 27, 2009 05:23 PM
14. You know Bill, you make a very good point. Islam is off limits for lefties because one of those wacky rag heads would put a knife in their chest if they got wind of the smallest derision. Has anybody seen an art piece called "Piss Qur'an". Didn't think so.

It seems that the leftist buzz words are always drug out when the going gets tough. The call to arms: "anti-abortion", "Christian", "pro life", etc., etc. We all here have heard them a zillion times. What exactly does somebody's religious belief have to do with running KC? Got one of Dow's over-sized mailers today and Hutchinson was pronounced not sufficiently green. No proof, just the scarlet letter is enough.

Yes, you are right. the left are despicable little asses.

Posted by: G Jiggy on October 27, 2009 05:50 PM
15. I totally agree. One of them dumped their dog poop in our empty garbage can the other day. No conservative would think of doing that.

The left is simply a collection of horribly miserable people. I'm convinced. Lawyers such as Constantine,(why are the Democrats almost always lawyers)? Jerks such as Nickels who frightened children at Christmas about "global warming".

They are "Radical Women" and "Raging Grannies" and those little bicycle jerks that block traffic downtown at the end of every month.

Dreadfully unpleasant people. That's why they end up on the left. They love to tell us what to think, and how to live our lives. It's what makes them happy. Why can't they just come home and have a martini?

No, they have to be in our faces every day. I am so sick of them.

16.
The last thing we need is another:

Dino Rossi
Mike McGavick

Or other Libopublican starting off gangbusters and then succumbing in flames to the overwhelming army of Seattle Libs + the vote enhancing processes of Gregoire.

17. Bill says: "The only religion they routinely attack is Christianity because they view it as a threat to their dreams of a socialist society. The only religion they routinely attack is Christianity because they view it as a threat to their dreams of a socialist society."

Sorry Bill. I would be equally uncomfortable with an Islamic fundamentalist in office. Both are an anathema to human progress.

By the way Bill, you might try reading your Bible sometime. Check out the New Testament. Those early Christians lived in a manner that was about as close as you can come to pure communism.

On second thought, never mind. You wouldn't understand pure communism any better than you understand the Bible.

18. Oh yes, and by the way (as Rush likes to say), the latest polls are anything but a "dead heat".

19. Washington poll showing Constantine with a 13 pt lead...what's going on?

20. Gosh, sure got quiet in this thread. Guess Bill & Jiggy decided they didn't know as much about either this race or the bible as they thought they did.

Posted by: Rush Limbaugh Fan on October 28, 2009 09:29 PM
21. Yeah right, Griswald. Like these on-line polls have any validity at all. Dream on.

Posted by: Jarvis on October 28, 2009 09:43 PM
22. Or perhaps, Rush Limbaugh Fan, Bill & Jiggy have a life and don't rush back to this post every two hours to see if you've posted another snarky comment. (And yes, I appreciate the irony of me posting a comment and thus implying that I don't have a life. Although, since I moderate the post I have the unfortunate job of reading all your screed.)

And Jarvis, you'd have a point except that the people who usually double vote in this county are usually Democrats (plus they're all dead or in prison so probably not the kind of folks responding to KIROTV.com polls).

23. Mark:

It's good to know you can appreciate a little irony. Most Republicans are simply blind to it these days. I suspect it's from all the teeth missing in their mental gears after the clutchless shift of supporting idiots like Bush and Cheney on the grounds that "well, they are our duly elected leaders" to the Obama Derangement Syndrome they all now possess.

Also, I'm glad somebody gets to read my screed. It would really hurt my feelings to think that it went unnoticed. But ya' know what? I'd be surprised if Bill and Jiggy haven't been back at one point or another during the intervening 40 hours to take a peek and see if anyone responded to their comments.

I'll bet I can find some comments they posted on other threads in that same period. So maybe they really don't have such pressingly active lives.

Any takers?

And finally, I'd be interested to see your data on "all the double voters in the country being Democrats." I seem to recall that during Dino's little suit over there in Chelan County, it came out that there were some double voting Republicans too. Or has that gear been stripped so clean from the painful experience of the last election that you don't remember it either?

Cheers.
