What would happen to our civilization without Pierce County's Thin Blue Line?

Even if we want to ban the bikini baristas, can't we find a better way to handle it (no pun intended) here in the enlightened NW?

Posted by: srogers on February 27, 2010 07:59 AMCase in point: why not drop the equally moralistic rhetoric/legislative action against gays? It can't reasonably be said that straights should have personal freedom and autonomy while also maintaining hardcore, obstinate opposition to committed gay couples, based solely (it seems) on a visceral discomfort with what they (may or may not) do in the privacy of their homes.
The GOP can be about freedom, or it can't. It's a binary equation. It's a simple choice (though hardly easy). Let's place our bets and go all in. No need to get moderate when it comes to freedom, right?
