Call for Anti-933

I got a call from an "Out of Area" caller tonight. (Caller ID was masked). The woman on the line started telling me how unfair I-933 is and that research has shown that it is going to cost money. During her spiel she mixed up the numbers, easy enough to do.

After she finished I asked where she was calling from. She told me Florida. I told her that if the anti I-933 campaign was willing to pay out of state workers to make calls, to the detriment of workers in Washington state that was good reason to vote for it.

I-933 is not a perfect initiative, however it is better than what we have happening now. I know people that have had to agree to fencing off over 2/3 of their property before being allowed to build on it (this is in King County), yet their taxes are based on 100% of their property. This kind of excessive, punitive government regulation needs to be put in check, I-933 is the best we have right now.

1. The County has run roughshod over those of us in East King county enough. I'm voting YES on I-933.

As Bob Wallace wrote: it won't cost the government any more than it's costing us to deal with their current taking over of 2/3 of people's property and other nonsense.

2. If the county wants to ram the way to far reaching land stealing CAO down our throats, then I have no problem at all voting Yes on I933. My whole family did so!

3. I got called by Lawrence Welk on behalf of Reichert, I don't think he lives in this state. =)

4. My suspicion was roused by the brand new looking straw hat on the "farmer" in the anti I-933 ads. No law is perfect, but at least this initiative will force government to stop and think before it takes our property by regulation. I'm voting yes on I-933.
