You're invited to join conservative leaders from across Washington at Evergreen Leadership Conference II: Issues, Insights, and Influence, on Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Tacoma. You can find complete information about the conference and register online at www.EvergreenConference.org.
We all know that conservative solutions to the problems facing our state are the right solutions that will increase our happiness, prosperity, and security in a manner consistent with our fundamental principles of individual liberty, personal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. The problem we most often face is how to best communicate conservative ideas and solutions so that our friends and neighbors understand why they are better and how to elect conservative candidates so that we have an opportunity to actually implement those ideas and solutions.
This one-day conference will inform you about the issues of greatest importance in Washington today, provide important insights into conservative solutions to those issues, and instruction in how to frame the issues and solutions so that you can influence your friends and neighbors to support conservative positions and candidates. You will come away from this conference energized and equipped to go into the 2008 election cycle and secure conservative victories at every level - local, state, and national.
The luncheon keynote address for the conference will be by Bob Williams, president of Evergreen Freedom Foundation. Other outstanding speakers already committed for the conference include State Auditor Brian Sonntag, State Senator Joe Zarelli, former state representative Toby Nixon, Lynn Harsh of Evergreen Freedom Foundation, Rick Forcier of Christian Coalition, Bill Maurer and Michael Bindas of Institute for Justice, Diana Kirchheim and Sonya Jones of Pacific Legal Foundation, Jason Mercier and Todd Myers of Washington Policy Center, Gary Smith of Independent Business Association, and Sonja Forster of Business Institute of Washington. Many other great speakers are being confirmed right now. Issues to be addressed at the conference include limiting taxes and reining in the state budget, encouraging economic development and job creation, market-driven health care, defending family values, protecting personal and property rights, restoring election integrity, improving transportation while protecting individual choice, fixing our broken education system, and protecting the environment consistent with property rights and sound science.
