Will Kerry lying for Obama really help?

This morning's Seattle Times contained a rather hilarious literary romp entitled "Kerry says Obama's resume' comparable to JFK's, Roosevelt's that, like so many Kerry utterances... how can I put this civilly... "strain the boundaries of credulity?"

I don't blame the Times for printing this trash; after all, Kerry no doubt said it. But once the reader picks themselves back up off the rhetorical floor from the sheer astonishment they must feel, while they shake their heads muttering, "Same old Kerry," the truth, so illusive in the Kerry universe, will hopefully prevail.

I won't rehash Kerry's history of lies and self-delusion, they're already well known. But Mr. Kerry has forgotten that age-old adage: When you're at the bottom of a hole? Stop digging."

In this case, we would do well to paraphrase another democrat footnote, one Lloyd Benson, whose only claim to fame was this utterance, properly modified here:

"We know of JFK and Roosevelt, Mr. Kerry. And Obama is no JFK or FDR."

I'm not a big HillBill fan, although I view her as preferable to choosing the Dennis Kucinich of the Senate. HillBill, you see, at least knows where the bathrooms are in the White House. Obama's government service, correspondingly, would fit in a phone booth with room left over.

Look, I know it takes a great deal of self-delusion to be a democrat. That either Obama or HillBill have any support in the party speaks for itself. That the idea of requiring experience apparently is meaningless for either candidate; that in Obama's case, a liar like Kerry and a misogynistic drunk who killed a woman like Kennedy would be used with their endorsements as if what they said actually mattered, speaks to that.

But in this case, there's no comparison to JFK or Roosevelt. And actually reading the article in question shows that conclusion to be true.

How long did Obama serve in the military? How much combat has he seen? How many times has he committed adultery? How many celebrities has Obama had sex with? (You see, when one compares "resume's" one should compare ALL of the resume'... not just the good parts.) How long has Obama been a US Senator, compared to Kennedy?

Kerry, of course, was asked the same questions (about his combat record and service) and his answers, along with his post-military sell-out of his fellow service members, found him to be wanting.

As for FDR, his life of adultery is legendary. His position on truth even more so. Today's quote:

"You know I am a juggler, and I never let my right hand know what my left hand does. I'm perfectly willing to mislead and tell untruths. FDR, May 1942

So, the fact is that for Obama, comparisons to JFK and FDR, particularly made by someone of Kerry's ilk, may not quite have the impact he's hoping for.

Utilizing Kerry or Kennedy as some of the faces of the Obama campaign is a mistake. That he has agreed to use them plays directly into HillBill's hands by showing his inexperience and a lack of strategic thinking abilities. Their images show how far left Obama is, buttressing the National Journal's announcement that Obama was politically as far left as they can go in the Senate... and they'll make fine grist for the GOP and 527's getting ready to crank it up in this campaign season... a season I know will be the most divisive and vitriolic in this nation's history.
