Dave Reichert Sold Me Out!
I recently gave $100 to that SOB's campaign and the jerk turns around and votes for Pelosi's NON-Drilling Energy Program! Screw him! He won't get another dime from me and I will abstain from casting a vote in the 8th Cong. District race because Darcy Burner is even more of an idiot. Not that I'd ever vote for a Democrat.

1. I was appalled by his support of reduced class size that got him the WEA's endorsement, and the fact that he and his staff never answer calls or emails. Not too smart.
2. I'm not happy about this either, but that's what you get with Reichert. He's got a record that shows his anti-drilling sentiment.
I recently donated $100 via his website and didn't even get so much as an automated "thank you" e-mail. Nothing.
He'll get my vote because nutjobs like Darcy Burner need to be sent a message, but he'll never get another penny out of my pocket.
3. Assuming it will be a close race here, the question to ask is if you want a larger majority in Congress or not, and whether Reichert will vote R at least some of the time.
You know Darcy won't.
4. Sure, make sure Ditzy Darcy gets in there and we will get 0% representation in Congress. Way to go John. At least Dave gives us 50%. BIG PICTURE!
5. I think Crusader is right. As disappointing as Reichert is on some things, he's nowhere near as dangerous to the rest of us as Darcy would be. She would be a total nightmare and very harmful to our pocketbooks.
It will have to be a vote for Reichert from this 8th District voter.
6. And the same goes for prestige. So far, we have the bell sisters- Ding and Dong; with Burner we have another dingy sister for the trifecta. Our state must be laughingstocks back in DC.
7. I'm in the 8th CD and I just can't see voting for Reichert. I can't see that one more or less loony-left congresswoman will make much difference, but at least if Reichert is gone, we might get a conservative on the ballot in 2010.
Once I wrote Reichert to complain about all the advertising being done by the federal DOT--why not spend the money on roads? His office must have scanned it, decided the topic was transportation, and sent me their form letter on that subject. It listed and bragged about all the transportation pork Reichert had brought home. Not the answer I was looking for.
