PI - Mallahan: Nickels has 'turned his back' on Seattle seniors

http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepolitics/archives/173587.asp

I was out of town Monday July 13th and missed the Seattle mayoral candidate debate at Spitfire in Belltown.

If you read the above article and the comments to the PI article, there is debate about what the actual spending amount is, the actual rate, and whether Mallahan's report was released soley to pander to Senior voters.

Nickel's Campaign Manager Sandeep "Stranger" Kaushik adds his own spin

I view Mallahan's report as another example of Nicke;'s history of mismanagement and incompetence going back to January 2002

Sunday's Seattle Times had a front page article on Nickel's continuing problems with his Seattle Department of Transportation which was already infamous with its response to the January 2009 snow storm

1. So let me get this straight. Mallahan says that you can't throw money at the problem, and then he proposes... throwing money at it?
