Capitol Hill Police have no report of threats from Brian Baird News Item: Baird discloses another Threat http://columbian.com/article/2009082...raws+criticism *snip* Commenting on why he was initially reluctant to hold town hall forums on health care reform, Baird told the Rotary Club audience: "If there is a Ryder truck parked out front, it has my name on it." *SNIP* Baird's office had not previously disclosed the specific language of the death threat. The message left on Baird's office voice mail was turned over to the U.S. Capitol Police, Love said. Baird told The Columbian on Aug. 6 that a coordinated national effort to disrupt public meetings on health care reform reminded him of the atmosphere that led McVeigh to bomb the federal building in 1995. He made a similar comment that day on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow show. The phoned death threat came four days later, Love said. **SCHNIPP** http://www.clarkblog.org/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=5084 I got on the telephone first thing this morning with the Capitol Hill Police Department, Records and Reports. That office is responsible for initiating any and all incident and complaint reports for the Capitol Hill Police Department. I first called the Watch Commander's Office and explained what I was looking for. That person assured me that they have very strict procedures for dealing something like this and transferred me to the "Threats" Office. The Agent in the Threats Office would not discuss this with me. He could not confirm or deny any active and/or ongoing investigations. He did tell me that he cannot investigate anything without a report being filed by the Records and Reports Office. He gave me their number and tried to transfer me. When I called Records and Reports, I spoke with the very polite and helpful lady there who is responsible for typing and submitting any kind of a report like Brian Baird is claiming was filed. I asked her specifically if she had a report of a telephoned threat that stated "You think Timothy McVeigh was bad, there is a Ryder Truck out there with your name on it," or anything remotely similar to a statement like that. She said that if anything like that had happened to any member of Congress, she would know about it. She has heard nothing, repeat NOTHING like what Brian Baird claims to have reported to the Capitol Hill Police, or from any other member of Congress. What's more, she also has no record whatsoever of any complaints filed from any Congress Critter about a faxed "threat" like Baird also says he filed on or around August 10. This lady was adamant that if any report like that had been filed, it would have to come through her personally. There are only 2 people who work in her office and she is certain there is no such report. I thanked that lady profusely, and asked her to continue looking into this, and if she found anything else to call me. I gave her my name and home telephone number. Don't take my word for any of this. Do what the columbian newspaper refuses to do and call the Capitol Hill Police Department Records and Reports Office at 202-593-4099 and ask them yourself. *SNIP* The reason this is so important my friends, is that there are also reports out there of recent Townhall meetings in other areas of the Country, where other DemocRat Congress Critters are citing Brian Baird's "threats" at their own Townhall meetings! This is an outrageous lie that has assumed a life of it's own, and people like the columbian's Kathy Dustbin are committing nothing less than Journalistic Malpractice in order to give Brian Baird all the cover he needs to hide from criticism on his many different stands on the issues. *SNIP* Let me state very clearly that this is not just an attempt to rabble-rouse or beat up Brian Baird unfairly. It's becoming more and more clear that we cannot trust what Brian Baird tells us about these supposed "threats" so very simply put, why should we believe him about anything he has said to date? I am actively seeking proof that Congressman Brian Baird filed any kind of official report to back up his repeated claims that those "threats" were "turned over" to the Capitol Hill Police Department. That is not an unreasonable request to make. As soon as I receive any kind of proof that Baird actually filed a report on this, I will spread the word about that every bit as vigorously as I am spreading word about the lack of that information. 1. As a Retired police Officer I don't think the threats are real. Mr. Baird knows that this type of activity must be reported to authorities ASP. But it does make good copy for the healthcare debate. Just shows you what the elite government electeds feel towards us. We are so damn stupid we can't fiqure it out.

3. I apologize that my original posting looks so bad, but that's the first time I ever posted here and my ignorance of the software is obvious.

As of Monday morning, the columbian newspaper has been AWOL in any attempt to explain how Brian Biard "turned over" two "Death threats" against him, without filing a report with the Capitol Hill Police Department, like they reported he did last Friday.

The only way Baird will ever be held accountable for his outrageous lies is if someone other than the AP (re: the columbian) looks into this. My orignal blog post has over 600 views this morning and my web stats are off the chart. I think that the AP may have a few words for the columbian Editor who allowed this story to hit the National wires Friday (the Seattle Times picked up the AP copy with a columbian source on Saturday) even though it was clear to them then that this story lacked any foundation whatsoever.

The point here is that if there was a real death threat against Baird, it should have been reported immediately. As of this morning, there is no report.

Whether or not that means Baird is trying to avoid a charge of "Filing a False Report" is yet to be determined.

4. As the healthcare initiative slips from their grasp the left will stop at nothing. They'll stock town hall meetings with their own people waving racist signs. They'll bring people to the meetings carrying pistols.

These people will stop at nothing and they have absolutely no shame. They want their socialist agenda "by any means necessary".
