2. There are two Christmases. The religious one celebrated by Christians and the secular/ material one celebrated by Americans. There's no need to drum up a controversy either way. Merry Christmas is a fine way to greet someone during the winter holidays. It's simply meant as a benevolent acknowledgment of the season and not intended to incite religious controversy. The whole controversy is manufactured outrage from both sides.

4. It's amazing how the politically correct have systematically tried to ruin the Christmas season. It was a wonderful time when I was a kid. Liberals have a nearly pathological hatred of Christianity. This same hatred is never directed at any other religion.

Liberals are simply mean people. Why else would they be liberals?

8. There is surely no hatred and bigotry towards Sarah Palin, a woman whom liberals see as inferior to themselves. They don't like her because she opposes abortion. They don't like her because she didn't go to Harvard. They don't like her because she is from Alaska.

I am sick and tired of being lectured to by the likes of mike. Liberals are the most intolerant, biased, bigoted group of people in the country. If he ever bothered to open his eyes he'd see it.

The country is starting to see it, and we are about to throw these horrible people out on their ears.

@ 6. i don't protest christianity, i've never protested at a church - why would i protest at a mosque? i don't see any muslims in this coutry trying to dictate how i should live. i believe you have a right to be a christian, just don't whine about it when i say i don't care, or say bugger off when you attempt to push your compromised values on others. i don't pick on christians, i pick on bigoted fundies who claim to be christians, and don't follow the teachings of christ - especially wrt judging others.

like i said, i don't hate sarah. i think she's a vindictive, ridiculous liar. i don't view her as inferior. i could care less if she opposes abortion, i just can't stand that she's a complete liar - she can't open her mouth without stretching the truth - she can't hold down a single job, she's a quitter. she fits conservative values to a 'tea' - blames everyone else for her mistakes and shortcomings. people with her anti-american 'values' really have no place in goverment.

i have lots of friends from alaska - hell, half my family is from alaska. they can't stand palin, either - and they're libertarians!

The challenge however remains. Mike, come up with specific examples of Sarah Palin telling a lie. Not some talking point from the Huffington Post, or the Daily Kos. You say, "she can't open her mouth without stretching the truth" A ridiculous statement such as that merely demonstrates your bias and hatred. Really mike, your posts seem to indicate that you are a closed minded, biased person, as most liberals are.

Put your money where your mouth is, mike. Rise to the challenge. Gee, maybe you will learn something!
